Greetings viking warriors!

A lot has happened since the launch of Blood Rage: Digital Edition. The enemies of Midgard have worked hard to make us struggle towards victory, but we have fought back! Over the weeks since we launched, we have deployed numerous bug fixes and patches in attempts to improve the state of the game. Many issues have been resolved, but some still remain and we will continue to battle for you and to improve your experience while playing!

Below you can find a list of the fixes we have already implemented, as well as those we are still working on. We have also included a short list of some of the improvements we are working on to make the battles on Yggdrasil better.

Bug Fixes:

  • Bots will now correctly replace forfeiting players in online games, allowing games to continue after forfeitures.
  • Corrected localisation issues across different languages:
  • Localised message when logging in to your Asmodee Account
  • Corrected the placeholder nameplates and hover tooltip for invaders
  • Localised the “Raise Clan Statistic” panel
  • Localised the “Stack Quest” tooltip
  • Localised the “Pass turn” button in Age panel
  • Corrected multiple errors in the Compendium
  • Corrected unlocalised “Skip” button when Pillaging
  • Corrected inconsistent localisation of “Clans” in some languages.
  • Corrected a series of grammatical errors in the tutorial
  • Corrected a series of grammatical errors in the compendium and other locations
  • A bug preventing users from changing their clan in online lobbies is now fixed
  • Bug preventing progression of Tutorial when asked to increase “Horn”
  • Corrected a bug for UI elements when trying to invite a friend to play
  • Cards no longer overlap when placing an upgrade or quest card over one already in play
  • There is now a visual indicator when the Dark Elf can invade Yggdrasil when playing the card
  • There is now a visual indicator of how many matches you must play before you can access ranked mode
  • There is now a visual indicator to show how many matches are left till you are ranked
  • The user pillaging in multiplayer is now shown
  • The “Auto-zoom” and “Fast Battle” mode settings are now changed when clicking the arrows
  • Camera is now correctly centered when pillaging
  • Cards obtained during the “God’s Gift” phase are now displayed in hand one turn later
  • Corrected alignment of information under Clan Statistics in the Player Profile
  • The text on cards will no longer overlap when moving the card over another’s slot
  • Corrected visual issues with units while they are in Valhalla, such as correctly spacing texts and the units for easier readability
  • Fixed some missing sound effects when leaving the Battle Summary page and at the end of the First Age
  • Corrected overlapping descriptions and texts in the Settings Menu
  • Card text is no longer hidden behind the shield when selected during a battle
  • Resolved a large number of UI issues that caused overlapping elements and effects
  • Corrected several animation errors that occurred during Pass and Play mode
  • Visual adjustments made in the lobby to make it easier to use
  • Centered and adjusted different text locations to improve visual readability
  • Adjusted graphics settings to improve performance on low settings.

This is just a list of some of the changes and improvements that we’ve made so far to improve the game’s quality since launch. We are also working on a number of other things to ensure that player experience is as positive as possible:

Upcoming improvements:

    Save games - Already deployed
  • We have now implemented a simple “continue last unfinished solo game” type option for you to be able to leave and come back later to a solo game!
    Game Optimisation
  • A number of complaints have been raised towards the game’s optimisation and this is something that we are working to improve. We are working on reducing the graphical and processing power required to reduce lag and other issues that can be encountered on mid-level computers.
    User Interface and Experience
  • The game does not currently support ultrawide monitors, but this is something we are investigating and apologise for inconveniences caused by this.
  • We are looking at changes to Blood Rage: Digital Edition’s turn timer for faster battle flow, we will announce more on this in the future.
  • We are not currently looking to implement an undo button, but are looking at other solutions such as additional action confirmations.

This is all for today’s update, but please provide us with your feedback and suggestions for improvements for Blood Rage: Digital Edition in the comments below. We want to ensure that battling to feast with Odin in the great halls of Valhalla is an enjoyable experience that you will want to continue returning to!
