We’re eager to share some important news regarding Summer Content Update. As we've stated repeatedly before, this year we're expecting major changes in two main areas of the game – the narrative and anomalous components of the project.
During development, the scope of planned changes we announced has not only remained the same, but has also been augmented with new mechanics and storylines that emerged during the process. One interesting idea leads to another, changes to one mechanic inevitably lead to changes in related mechanics – and now entire systems are taking shape in each area, which we sincerely believe will make the game more engaging and rich.
At the same time, we're faced with a situation where, with such a large development effort, we simply won't be able to complete everything by the planned date. We're faced with a choice: cut some of the work to meet deadlines, or give ourselves the time to complete the project to the fullest extent and quality it deserves. Based on our experience and current development approach, we want to meet your expectations and avoid adding "cut" content to the game, and therefore we're choosing the latter option. Therefore, Summer Content Update is being pushed back and will become Fall Content Update, which is set to be released in the second half of October.
We fully understand that this decision will raise questions and disappointment among our players. And believe us, we're excited to show the final result, but we're convinced that a little more time is needed to implement everything we've planned to a high standard.
Developers Diaries about "anomalous" changes will also be slightly modified. We believe that such a large amount of information will be difficult to fit and, most importantly, digest in a single article, so we'll be dividing this one large issue into several smaller ones, with publication beginning in September. We also want you to see the progress and know that work is in full swing – so we're ready to share some materials now about what's to come in the upcoming update.
