Thank you for the feedback. MMOS 0.8.1 Beta is out now. Almost everything in this patch started as a message from one of you: quests that were never taken, flag carriers standing still, forum threads that weren't honest, an adventurer window that hid the guild, and a stack of editor rough edges. Keep them coming. Firstly, as Next Fest is approaching, I felt the need to polish the Tutorial exper…
It's time to design some Raids - then share them! 0.7 is about the far end of your MMO. The instances you build can now become the thing a whole server organises around, the adventurers running them can change shape to suit the fight, and everything you author can finally leave your world and turn up in someone else's. If you are continuing a 0.5.x or 0.6 world, MMOS will ask before upgrading i…
0.6 is one of the largest MMOS updates so far. It gives adventurers new companions to fight beside, lets races enter the world through distinct starting areas, and adds a stack of new tools for shaping the world they play in. If you are continuing a 0.5.x world, MMOS will ask before upgrading it and keep a backup copy of the original save. Pets and summons Classes can now field up to three perm…
New in 0.5.2 The tutorial goes deeper New demo players kept getting lost the moment the tutorial handed them a window and moved on. The guided chain now walks inside every panel it opens: · Research takes you to the Game & Server tab and has you power a rack seat down and back up, so server capacity is something you have touched rather than read about. · MMO steps through History, Zones and Sta…
New in 0.5.1 Races Your MMO can now ship playable races. A new Races & Classes window (rebuilt to proper character-create proportions, with a live 3D preview that fills the stage) lets you author races with: · a head cosmetic drawn from the mob head set, · racial stat bonuses that fold into the same gear-bonus maths your items use, · a faction, or Neutral for races anyone can roll, · an allow-l…
The biggest MMOS update yet is live, and it is the one heading to the free demo. v0.5 makes your world feel alive: your adventurers ride and fly across it, your dungeons run like theme-park attractions you can read at a glance, and your servers finally have a real week. Mounts, ground and flying Stable vendors unlock in your cities and let adventurers buy ground mounts, with flying mounts as a…
Version 0.4 is here, hot on the heels of 0.3. This one is all about Crafting, built right on top of the existing professions system, with a big batch of new content to fill out your world alongside it. I turned this one around quickly and have been working hard, so let me get straight into what has changed. Craft your own professions The headline feature. You can now design your own crafting pr…
