Apologies for the confusion. This is a slightly older version of the game that does not have the BIZARRE "HUD not starting up when starting new game" bug. It still has the vast majority of the fixes and changes from 0.1.42.
The VR build works fine, but there is a major bug in the flatscreen mode where the HUD doesn't show upon starting a new game. To get around this, re-load your game.
