Encounter Readability Update — 1.3.1

Hustle Hard: Westchester · published · build 25644164

Update 1.3.1 makes encounter choices and their effects easier to read before you commit to a decision.

Larger choice text and effect chips

  • Option text increases from 16px to 18px, with a 1.35 line height for clearer multi-line choices.
  • Effect text increases from 9.6px to 16px. Stronger text weight and more spacing make the consequences easier to scan.
  • Choice buttons have more padding and a 96px minimum height, giving the option and its effects more room.
  • Long effect descriptions wrap instead of crowding one line. Bus-fare explanations also use 16px text.

Applied across encounters

The same improvements apply to street encounters, County Stories, heat-related choices, lender encounters, and bus-fare decisions. Both options use the updated layout.

Small-screen behavior

Narrow portrait layouts continue to stack the options vertically. In compact landscape views, the encounter panel still scrolls when the story and choices need more room. Longer options and effects can wrap without stretching the panel sideways.

Your run stays the same

This is a presentation update. Choices, effects, encounter outcomes, game balance, and saved progress are unchanged. Existing runs can continue. The NandoWorks cinematic intro and Westchester title sequence retain their skip and audio controls.

Thanks for the feedback that helped us make these decisions easier to read.
