🔧 Update v0.1.90 — Multiplayer Lobby Overlay & Camera Stability Fixes
Hello Commanders!
This update introduces critical stability fixes specifically targeting the multiplayer lobby and overlay transitions to provide a seamless, bug-free pre-game lobby experience.
Here is what's new in v0.1.90:
🛡️ Multiplayer Lobby Fixes & State Management
• Introducing GameUIState.MultiplayerLobby: We have implemented a formal, dedicated state in the game's UI state machine for the Multiplayer Lobby. This prevents conflicts with other main menu layers and ensures the lobby state is completely isolated and robust.
• Idle Camera Pan Disabled in Lobby: Fixed a bug where returning to or entering the multiplayer lobby room would trigger the main menu's idle camera map panning in the background. Panning is now cleanly disabled whenever the lobby room is active.
• Suppressed Watchdog Conflict: Resolved a race condition where the game UI's visibility watchdog timer (EnsureMenuStateVisibilityRuntime) would fight with the multiplayer room panel and force the generic main menu interface over the active lobby room every 0.5 seconds.
• Deferred Transition Cancelation: Transitioning to the multiplayer lobby now cancels any active or deferred 400ms UI transitions, ensuring no pending animations override direct state changes.
• Proper Z-Order Layering: Re-ordered lobby UI instantiation to ensure the active lobby panel always correctly draws on top of all menu elements under all conditions.
🧪 Testing & Validation
All play-mode tests have been expanded to include checks against the visibility watchdog, ensuring that no automatic timers can override the active lobby and that the menu remains perfectly hidden when it should.
Thank you for your active bug reports and support! Enjoy the updated lobby stability!
