v0.B.2 - Multiple Saves & Game Sim changes

MOBA Manager Playtest · published

Multiple saves are here

The main menu now has five save slots. Start a rebuild in one, run a dynasty in another, and jump between them freely.

Leaving a game no longer deletes it — Main menu just takes you back, and deleting is an explicit choice per slot.

Your existing save is safe. It automatically becomes your Slot 1 save. Nothing to migrate, nothing to do.

Player OVR now actually decides matches

This is the big one. Some of you reported stacking 80–90 OVR rosters and still going 7-7 against teams of 40–60 OVR players lined up in the wrong positions.

You were right, building a strong roster needs to feel more rewarding, especially since its currently the only influence you really have over your own success.

We measured it directly: a 90 OVR team beat a 55 OVR team only 56% of the time.

Completely understandable that a 6% edge when the gap is huge, does not feel rewarding enough.

Roster quality now feeds straight into the simulation. That same matchup is now ~76%.

Although we wanted to improve winrate more based on OVR gap and scouting should be rewarded, matches should still be matches, upsets happen at every gap size.

Language, region and squad tenure also affect team chemistry — a lineup with no shared language genuinely underperforms one that has played together over multiple years.

The free agent market no longer dries up

Rookie generation was a flat number tuned for a small-medium sized database. In a large multi-league save, retirements outpaced new talent by roughly 50 players a year. After about five seasons the market was empty and rosters were down to two players.

  • Talent generation now scales with the leagues you have enabled
  • Every team is guaranteed a full five with all five roles covered
  • AI squads now slot players into their actual positions

This includes a change to Options:

Database Size has become Talent Supply — a dial allowing you to deliberately choose scarcity as an environment to play in, or abundance. By default the free agent pool no longer dries up.
