The DOTA Update

MOBA Manager isn't only League of Legends anymore. v0.B.5 brings the entire Dota 2 ecosystem online as a brand-new gamemode — a completely different world to manage, with its own regions, its own year-round tournament circuit, and its own crown to chase: The International.

Pick your game when you create a save, and off you go.

A whole new game: Dota 2

Choose Dota 2 at save creation and the whole world shifts to the second title:

  • 6 regions to manage across — Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America and South America — each stacked with orgs to sign, scout and beat.
  • Positions 1–5 instead of lanes — Carry / Mid / Offlane / Soft Support / Hard Support.
  • Heroes instead of champions, the Ancient instead of the Nexus, and Roshan on the map.

A year-round tournament circuit

Forget the fixed league season — Dota runs on a rolling, real-feeling circuit of standalone events.

  • Every few matchdays a new wave opens: three tournaments per region at once, one for each tier (Tier 1 / 2 / 3), each a 16-team bracket.
  • A sign-up mail hits your inbox every wave — enter one tier (gamble up for the bigger prize pool and points, or farm a lower tier against a softer field), or sit the wave out entirely.
  • Best-of-3 series you can watch play out, tower by tower.
  • Every Tier-1 tournament pays qualification points toward the season finale.

The International

Optional, and switched on at save creation — the season-ending world championship the whole year builds toward.

  • Your Tier-1 results feed a qualification-points race; the top 2 in each region punch their ticket directly.
  • Everyone else fights through a 32-team Last Chance Qualifier — double-elimination, best-of-3 — for the final seats.
  • 16 teams then contest a Swiss stage feeding an 8-team double-elimination knockout.
  • Lift the trophy, claim the Grand Final and tournament MVP awards, and write your org into the history books.

A dedicated International page tracks it all — the points leaderboard through the season, the Last Chance Qualifier, and the Swiss + knockout brackets of the main event.

Modern residency rules (League of Legends)

Real LoL residency has consolidated over the years, and the game now reflects it.

  • Modern (default) uses the six real macro-residencies — KR · CN · EU · NA · BR · APAC. JP / SEA / OCE fold into APAC, CIS into EU, and a LatAm player counts as domestic for both NA and BR.
  • Prefer the original granular ten? Flip Residency Rules back to Legacy in Options — it's purely a display + import-quota lens, so you can switch any time.

Also in this patch

  • Fixed an issue with import slots — the import restriction is now enforced consistently across every league (NPC teams respect it too), and your team takes the field with exactly the lineup you set, with a clear warning if your starting five breaks the rule.
  • Free agents can now be sorted — and searched — by region, not just by country.

Thanks as always for the reports and feedback — a huge chunk of this update came straight from you. If you're enjoying MOBA Manager, wishlist & follow to catch what's next.

See you on the Rift — and the Ancient. 🏆
