Early Access Update (v0.25)

major update

Meat Train · published · build 22712368

Hello Meat Train enjoyers!!!

Timothy here with another update, I've been cooking this one up for the past month and a half... I hope you enjoy!

Slavery

The AI needs meat.

Each day you will be required to bring a tank of meat back to the factory.

GRM Machines won't attack you while you are working for the factory, but keep in mind that if you fail to meet quota, there will be consequences. The train is property of GRM... and so are you!

Deployable Workbench: Customizable Turret placement

There has been a big change to how Turrets work, you can now place them where ever you want on the train, as long as the surface is flat.

Turrets now also require a new item: Tech scrap.
Tech scrap can be found in Military crates or harvested from destroyed Drones.

This "Deployable" System is really just setting the ground work for future updates, I want to make the Train more customizable and introduce more types of deployables in the future.

New Kick Attack

You can press Q to kick now (Equip melee is Tab now instead)
Running Shoes and Bionic Legs will both make your kick more powerful, and I've also changed the Femur bone upgrade effect to make your kick more powerful aswell.

Being able to give zombies the boot definitely helps keep the hordes under control.

New Monuments & Graphics Improvements

I've added 3 new monuments and one of them is a large green bunker with a forest inside. I'll let you see it for yourself.I also put a bit of time into the graphics and made the games textures look less repetitive and flat.
Also made the sky a bit more interesting to look at.Have a look at the full list of changes below, theres some new upgrades, optimisations and improvements.

Whats next?

Here is a peek of an boss enemy I've been working on, I wanted to get it out in this update but it needed more time unfortunately.

I'll be focusing more on the late game now. I want to improve the GRM Factory area and add an overshield upgrade for the player, so its not so difficult to survive when fighting against the machines.
