Version 0.9

Known Issues

  • Guards cannot navigate around collapsed floors which can prevent them chasing you or being distracted and unable to generate a path. Next version will look at making these traps a bit smaller.
  • Guards can kick around melee objects on the floor causing them to "alert" themselves.

Bug Fixes

  • Sounds should no longer alert guards on another floor
  • Enemies will no longer respond to repeated sound alerts within a few seconds.
  • Fixed bugs related to distraction not always working
  • Fixed issue where bodies could sometimes be spotted out of sight
  • Prevent duplicate torches in start room
  • Made the sounds of thrown / dropped objects travel a bit further. This will continue to be tweaked as I test.
  • Improved draw call performance by removing new wall types from tight corridors. These are unseen and not needed.
  • Fixed bug selecting grenades with right hand

Gameplay Adjustments

  • Enemies should no longer appear close to player spawn when you first start the game. SS can still spawn there after you start playing the dungeon.
  • Prevent enemies from spawning too close to each other to help prevent lopsided mob concentrations. The map is much more evenly distributed with enemies now. Because enemies can wander, this is of course never guaranteed to last.
  • Chests only hold one item now instead of two. There were too many spawn points and not enough items meaning lots of empty chests. It also prevents some issues with large items in chests. Expect more changes to these.
  • The final blow of a melee hit will now usually apply additional rigidbody force which will move the body forward and up away from the player. This was just an effort to make the melee knockouts a little more satisfying without going bonkers on unrealistic flyaway ragdolls.
  • Melee damage values adjusted. All firearms used for melee are instant knockout if the enemy is not alerted. If alerted, regular enemies take two hits.
  • Bottles and Stones are instant knockouts regardless of combat state.
  • Updated start book with additional help on hiding spots

New Features

  • Hiding areas. These openings in walls can be entered to hide from guards. These can be used if you hear a guard approaching, to place dead bodies, or to run away from a guard and hide. When hiding from guards hunting you down you have to be a certain distance away to be successfull. Wont work against SS.
  • Coins for distraction. Coins can be thrown to distract guards and are available from your inventory. Each use subtracts 5 coins from your total. The cost may be adjusted in the future.
  • Ability to turn off Discord Rich Presence Integration in Options
