LEXICON: Lingua Obscura · published · build 25361369
The past month has been a big one for Lexicon. Battles are clearer, runs flow better, the office has more secrets to uncover, and the whole game carries more punch from the first tile to the final report.
Overrides are more dependable and much easier to understand at a glance. They now affect every copy of the chosen letter, stacked colors blend together, and the Letter Bag gives you a cleaner view of what your build is becoming. Items and selection screens also provide clearer feedback, making it harder to waste a valuable tool by accident.
Difficulty now rises more smoothly across a run. Elite encounters carry more of the danger.
The office has received one of its biggest passes yet. The rotary phone, padlock, rubbing puzzle, inspection sequences, object interactions, and story clues have all been refined. Important leads are easier to spot, puzzle progress is more dependable, and the space feels more like a real place filled with things worth investigating.
Moving between screens now feels like changing channels on a strange old terminal. Menus animate into place, letters deal onto the board, the title screen wakes up with you, and Protocol rewards arrive with more ceremony. A broad sound pass has also given battles, items, the map, controls, progress bars, and office interactions a stronger voice. Twelve new achievements celebrate major story choices, minigame victories, huge scores, daring recoveries, complete builds, timed wins, and a little opportunistic selling.
Keyboard, mouse, and controller support is more consistent throughout the game. Remapped controls update their prompts and survive restarts, accessibility options behave more predictably, and a long list of stability fixes has made pausing, loading, changing screens, restoring grids, and continuing runs more dependable.
