Big UI Overhaul — Live Standings, Spectating & Smoother Mobile Play

Hide & Seek · published

A whole new look

  • The entire interface has been rebuilt from scratch — lobby, in-game HUD, results and settings all share a new, cleaner style.
  • The old main menu is gone: everything now lives in the lobby, so you're never more than one click from a match.
  • Separate desktop and phone layouts, so neither platform is stuck with the other's UI.

Know what's happening in the round

  • Live Standings: see which hiders have been found and who's still out there, in real time.
  • Prep Status panel shows who's ready and who's still painting.
  • Ready up! If everyone marks themselves ready, prep ends early — no more waiting out the timer.
  • Caught players can now spectate the rest of the round, and stop watching whenever they like.
  • In-game chat, with anti-spam throttling.

Painting & hiding

  • New "Blend In" tool that matches your body to the surroundings in one tap.
  • Your hider is now centered on screen while painting, so you can actually see what you're doing.
  • Clone controls moved into the HUD — place and delete decoys without hunting for a key.

Mobile

  • Free camera on touch devices.
  • Reworked touch controls: jump, rope throw, reel in and cancel now have proper on-screen buttons.
  • Poses can be rotated left and right, and the pose panel's close button sits where it should.
  • Fixed the on-screen keyboard covering or losing input.

Seekers & settings

  • New crosshair and aim sensitivity options that actually apply in-game.
  • Full settings screen with key rebinding.
  • Match settings now save server-side with sane defaults.

Fixes & polish

  • The camera no longer clips through walls.
  • Clicking the background while painting no longer resets your selected color.
  • Friend search replaces the confusing "add" flow — search by name, then add.
  • All in-game HUD text is now localized in 12 languages.
  • Performance pass: lighter build, mobile texture and quality tiers, and less runtime overhead.
