Thank you for the continued reports and feedback.
Following recent reports and reviews, we have confirmed a progression blocker that could prevent players from completing an operation despite answering all queries.
This only occurred under a very specific set of conditions: answering a query incorrectly, then immediately correcting it, specifically on the final query of an operation. Because of this, it was not encountered during development and only surfaced once players began interacting with the systems introduced in recent patches.
We are a small team, and much of development has been spent building the underlying systems that drive the experience. This issue was rooted deep within those systems, and reproducing it reliably required isolating that exact sequence of actions.
We’ve now identified the root cause and implemented a system-level fix. This was not a workaround. We rebuilt a large part of the dialogue system to ensure it behaves correctly in these cases.
We are continuing to monitor closely for any similar edge cases and will address them as quickly as we can.
Fixed a progression blocker where players could become stuck with “NO QUERIES (0/0)” and be unable to complete an operation
This occurred when a query was answered incorrectly and then immediately corrected on the final query
While most commonly reported in Zhao Feng’s diagnostic and Gerald’s autopsy, the underlying issue could affect any operation
Thank you for your patience, your reports, and for playing MALPRAXIS™.
