Demo 0.71: Illustrated help and a tutorial to get you started

Opolution · published

Demo version 0.71 makes it easier to get started in Opolution. The help pages explain the game's mechanics with short texts and relevant images, while a new optional tutorial guides you through the station dream.

Here is what has changed since the dream book update on November 1:

Illustrated help with interactive steps

  • All 15 help topics remain accessible in the familiar order on the left page of the book.
  • On the right, each topic has three clickable steps. The explanation and image change with your selection. Previous and Next let you read the steps in order.
  • Screenshots from the current demo show the features being explained in the actual game interface.
  • Examples and detailed rules can be expanded when needed, keeping the introduction easy to follow while retaining the full explanation.

An optional tutorial in eight chapters

The tutorial covers orientation and pausing, actions and details, the action queue, stability and supplies, learning and awakening, and automation. Combat and journey stages each have a dedicated chapter.

  • Tips appear in the relevant gameplay context and highlight the controls they explain.
  • Game time pauses while you read. Choose “Try it” to close the chapter and continue playing yourself.
  • You can opt out immediately or read individual chapters directly from the chapter overview.
  • Your progress and opt-out choice are saved. You can restart the tutorial at any time in Settings without resetting your game progress.

Languages and availability

Help and tutorial content are available in all eight supported languages. Version 0.71 is live for Windows and native Linux/SteamOS, including Steam Deck.
