The Palace, Prestige, and the Depths!

The journey in Back for Loot is changing!

This update brings major changes to campaign progression, turning the Palace into a true final challenge and giving the Prestige system a new purpose.

We've also made combat adjustments, interface improvements, and translation updates, and we've strengthened leaderboard security.

Check out everything that's new!

The Palace: A True Final Challenge

The Palace now represents the greatest challenge of the main campaign.

[] The Palace boss now has 4 times more health and deals 20% more damage.
[] Prestige can only be unlocked after defeating the Palace boss.
  • Instead of replaying the campaign, Prestige now opens the path to the Depths.

Your victory in the Palace is now a major milestone in the adventure!

Prestige and the Depths

We've reworked Prestige progression to make every new journey more meaningful.

[] Prestige multipliers are now cumulative, starting at ×2 and increasing by ×1.6 with each following cycle.
[] The scaling curve no longer applies in the Depths.
  • Once you reach 2 or more Prestiges, the map will automatically open focused on the Depths, inviting you to continue your journey.

Combat Balance

We've adjusted the Curse to prevent situations where heroes became immortal.

  • The Curse now has a minimum effect equal to 0.15% of the hero's max health, preventing them from becoming immortal.

Interface Improvements

We've made a few tweaks to make Prestige progression clearer.

[] While locked, the Prestige tab now explains how to unlock the system.
[] The New Journey screen now correctly displays the Prestige multiplier.

Translation Improvements

We're continuing to improve the experience for players in different regions.

[] We updated the interface text in 8 languages: German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Chinese.
[] We added translations for the Restart, Auto Mode, and Auto Attack options in all 8 languages.
  • We fixed boss names that were appearing in English in the Portuguese version.

Security and Technical Improvements

[] We improved leaderboard validation to prevent impossible scores from being submitted.
[] Internal demo and testing features now work exclusively in debug builds.
  • We strengthened the protection of the project's internal files and sensitive information.

The Journey Continues!

With the Palace becoming the campaign's final challenge and the Depths taking center stage after Prestige, we want to make progression more rewarding and give each new journey an even greater purpose.

Thank you for playing and supporting the development of Back for Loot!

As always, your feedback means a lot to us. Tell us what you think of the changes and how far you made it into the Depths.
