Hey everyone,
Some players have reported issues after downloading the recent Solo Play Overhaul update. If the game won’t launch at all, crashes on startup, or if you’re not seeing the new AI bots, difficulty options, or updated audio and maps, the update likely didn’t apply correctly on your system.
To fix this, please uninstall and reinstall Animal Games:
In your Steam Library, right-click Animal Games and choose Manage → Uninstall.
Once it’s removed, click Install to download a fresh copy.
Launch the game. It should start normally, and you’ll see the new difficulty selector on the solo match setup screen.
This is a one-time step because of how heavily the game files were restructured in this update. Future patches should apply normally through Steam.
