Deep Frost 1.2.3

This update makes a run's rules and records easier to read and fixes interface problems.

New

  • A RULES OF THIS RUN page in the Case File and the pause menu gathers your run's rules, and the strip shows the Thaw left.
  • A crew legend explains every crew colour and mark, and one key finds you on the map.
  • Asking a question or whispering a name now asks for confirmation first.
  • Your name is asked on every new expedition, and one button keeps the old one.
  • The title screen now shows each language in its own writing.
  • The demo end screen names the day you reached, and replay starts a new expedition directly.

Clearer

  • The opening says how many Thaw are hidden, and How to Play adds a page on what points to a Thaw.
  • Day goals are short and name the room and the person.
  • A mismatch says to question both, a no clash pair gives its reason, and findings suggest a next step.
  • After a purge you learn Thaw or human, and what pointed at them.
  • Where you sleep now says plainly where the Thaw can attack you.
  • Station work help and MOIRA's reports use plainer wording.
  • The first ten minutes use plainer wording, and the Day 2 and Day 3 records have fewer caveats.
  • As Crew, the opening now reminds you that your run also ends if you are purged or replaced in the night, and that sleeping in the Mess Hall keeps the Thaw off you.
  • The demo now says you always play as Crew there; in the full game your role is random.
  • The question picker shows questions left today and marks names already asked.
  • Crew call signs appear in Cyrillic in Russian and in katakana in Japanese.

Fixed

  • Pause pages taller than the screen now scroll inside their panel.
  • Title buttons shrink or wrap between words so labels fit in every language.
  • Japanese large text no longer overflows dialogs and the Case File compare.
  • Opening the crew list no longer stalls the game on long runs.
  • Shared meal portraits sit properly in their seats.
  • If Steam Cloud cannot delete an old save, the title screen warns it may appear under CONTINUE.
  • On Qualcomm or Adreno graphics under Windows, the game restarts once in a more compatible mode.
