We just added "Surface Combatants" to the "Custom Battle" mode that comes with the full game.
This mode will allow you to select battleships and cruisers to fight enemy forces of similar strength.
You can choose USS South Dakota, USS Iowa or USS Arizona in this mode when playing as the US Navy, along with up to 4 escort cruisers (all cruisers from the main campaign can be selected).
When playing as the Imperial Japanese Navy, you can select IJN Yamato, IJN Kongo or IJN Nagato along with up to 4 cruisers (currently only Aoba and Takao-Class is available).
