These are today's changes to Bravemech: The Century War, from version 0.73.527 to 0.73.551.
v0.73.551
- Fixed: Norton could wrongly flag Bravemech as a threat and delete it.
- The cause was a Windows script we used to list screen resolutions.
- The game now asks Windows directly, so that script is gone.
- Fullscreen and resolution options work the same as before.
v0.73.550
- Map tools stay inside the bottom bar on smaller screens.
- Tool labels fit their buttons; the NEW tag sits on its corner.
- Log messages wrap beside your ship card instead of getting cut off.
- Officer tips and lines no longer cover cards, tabs or charts.
- Your ship's hull and supply show once, on the ship card.
v0.73.549
- Choose your heir: a son or daughter, or which child to adopt.
- Make your heir's face as a child: it grows up with them.
- At eighteen, shape their grown-up look while skin, hair and eyes stay.
- Grown heirs show their age: lines at forty, deeper at sixty.
- Every scene and battle plays with the heir you chose.
- Each heir speaks their own recorded lines, in every voice language.
- Story contact: pick which pilot you fly before launch.
- Each pilot card shows their face and their mech.
- Your pick stays for the next fight.
v0.73.548
- Landed on a planet? Travel to objective now flies you back up.
- On a planet with no job? Press Travel back to space.
- Focus is back and cycles through every unit you own.
- After your first job, the first officer guides you to the second.
- On a controller, the orders call now starts on Accept.
- No more trip home while your next orders wait.
v0.73.547
- Repairing before a fight no longer adds an enemy ace.
- Sortie Orders: pick any squad mech to fly it yourself.
- Your pick stays for the next fight.
- Only the Commander going down ends the run.
- Chinese, Japanese and Korean text no longer shows missing-character boxes.
- The story and voice-line subtitles now use the game's own fonts.
v0.73.546
- Pilot Campaign fights now open with a contact clash.
- The clash shows who you face, then launches by itself.
- Pilot Campaign battles use the fight HUD you picked.
- The Pilot Campaign mega boss is now mech-sized and much faster.
- He fights with his own blade, rifle and lance between patterns.
- He no longer wipes a full hull in two seconds.
- The pre-battle contact screen keeps both portraits in view.
- Portraits show whole, with no box behind them.
- Every mech in the fight shows in a sliding strip.
- Your RQ shows big beside the repair buttons.
- Space ends the week on the keyboard.
v0.73.545
- The title now shows an Early Access note beside the patch notes.
- Found something broken? Its Discord button takes you straight to us.
- On a controller, A on a mech card now jumps to Begin.
- START begins the campaign with the mech under the cursor.
- On Your File, LB and RB jump between sections.
- Left and right now stay in their row on Your File.
- Fixed a crash when a planet fight started beside your own convoy.
v0.73.543
- Story voices and battle voices can now use different languages.
- Want Japanese battles with an English story? Pick both on first launch.
- Settings › Audio now has a Story voices and a Battle voices group.
- Thanks to the Discord player who asked for this!
v0.73.542
- Co-op: guests in your own mechs now hit as hard as P1.
- Co-op: guests on loaner mechs still deal 15% less damage.
- Century: a friend pressing Start mid-fight joins the next fight.
v0.73.541
- Map pieces stand on solid coloured hexes, with no white glare.
v0.73.540
- Every mech on the Sector map now stands the same height.
- Mechs on the map are smaller, so each fits its hex.
- A squad shows all its mechs together in one hex.
- Escort fights no longer put target rings on the finish line.
v0.73.539
- Co-op: a downed player's health plate now clears off the screen.
- Co-op: each player's pad now rumbles for their own mech.
- Co-op: lock labels on enemies side by side no longer overlap.
- Co-op: when P1 falls, the camera frames the next player's lock.
v0.73.538
- Some jobs now run out in 1-3 weeks and pay 50% more.
- Two strike groups can hit your places in the same week.
- New job: keep a mech on a marked hex for three weeks.
- New job: catch a raider before it cuts a port's supply.
- Job distances and deadlines now follow your ship's real route.
v0.73.537
- Support mechs now carry a shield, as strong as a buster's.
v0.73.535
- Pieces with no actions left now darken and show an E.
v0.73.534
- Mechs can now attack from range: heavies reach 4 hexes.
- You can only attack what your mechs or ship can see.
- A ranged attack is one squad against one, for 12 seconds.
- Close fights let you pick which neighbors join in.
- Enemies bring in their own neighbors to close fights.
- Heavies move slowest; busters in jet mode move fastest.
- Supports can now repair your mechs and ship on the map.
- A mech lost far from your ship stays as a wreck.
- Reach a wreck with your ship within two weeks to recover it.
- Pirates will race you to your wrecks.
- Pilots without a part in the story can now die.
- The opening ace now breaks off sooner.
- Your ship moves 3 hexes a week on the Sector.
v0.73.533
- Changing parts in the face editor keeps the cursor on your pick.
- In the face editor, A no longer skips to the next step.
- The title menu now loops cleanly in every direction on a controller.
- LT and RT browse the patch notes, and VIEW opens them all.
v0.73.532
- The Zenith Frame's beam and held fire have reworked animations.
v0.73.530
- Settings has seven tabs now, sorted by what each setting does.
- The right stick now zooms the map all the way out.
- Zoomed out, a held D-pad moves the cursor several hexes.
- The left stick moves faster too, the further out you zoom.
- The star map now follows your cursor when you zoom in.
- Switching hangar stations no longer drops a card over the panel.
v0.73.529
- The contact plate's buttons fit again, on two rows.
- Minimal layout: Objectives now sits under your current objective.
- The war record no longer says nobody scored when your ship did.
v0.73.528
- Low hull or out of ammo? An arrow on your mech points to the dock.
- In local co-op, each pilot gets their own dock arrow.
v0.73.527
- The co-op lobby now shows your commander's name, not a stand-in.
- A player's Controls button opens straight on their own controls.
- Enemy name boxes no longer wrap around the other players' tags.
- Co-op guests can now call their ship home to repair or dock.
- A guest's pad no longer grabs P1's menus by accident.
- Guests stay with the carrier P1 steers, not an escort ship.
