KN Tower – Major Update #4: Something Big Is Building

Major Update #4 is one of our biggest updates yet – with new gameplay systems, more life in your tower, fresh challenges, more variety, and another big step forward for KN Tower.

📋 More Management, More Decisions

• New decisions cover maintenance, visitor rushes, resident initiatives, major tenants, VIP requests, awards, tenant negotiations, business downturns and elevator breakdowns.
• Evening events bring house parties, cinema premieres, restaurant critics and ballroom galas.
• Three-stage optional objectives can reward Reputation.
• KN Tower News and the Situation Center report what is happening, highlight traffic jams and service backlogs, and help you respond to emergencies.

🪳 A New Disaster – Pests

Pest infestations can now strike your tower and create another problem you need to manage.

A living tower also means dealing with the things you would rather not have living in it.

🏥 A New Health Service

The new Clinic adds another essential service. Alongside Security and Garbage Management, healthcare becomes another important part of planning and running your tower.

🌍 A World That Feels More Alive

• Airplanes, hot-air balloons and zeppelins now pass by your skyscraper, adding more movement and life to the skyline.
• More life outside and inside: balconies, construction machinery and supports, technical structures on elevator shafts, satellites, lightning during storms, staff uniforms and round-the-clock services.
• The main menu now features a living 3D tower.
• Super Classic Mode adds an orthographic camera option.

🏢 Even More Building Variety

Major Update #4 adds new restaurant variants, two new large condominium variants, several new large office variants, and more visual variety throughout your skyscraper.

The larger your tower grows, the more it should feel like a city of its own.

👷 Builder Mode – BETA

Builder Mode is here and playable as a beta.

• Your builder must move to the construction site before work starts.
• Improved pathfinding and construction range (4 floors vertically and 10 fields horizontally) make building more practical.
• Right-click a construction sign to cancel the building.
• Player-colored helmets and markers are prepared for Multiplayer.
• Leaderboards and expansions remain available in Builder Mode.
• The mode also lays the foundation for the gameplay of upcoming expansions.

👥 Multiplayer – Coming Soon

Play with Steam friends or find public lobbies. Three modes are being developed:

• All for One (shared budget)
• Tower Rivals (up to 8 players with separate towers)
• 4D Crazy (four plots, cooperative or competitive)

Planned features include ready-up lobbies, text and voice chat, host migration, player results and a 10-chapter tutorial in 45 languages.

Multiplayer is not yet playable in the current update.

🎥 Camera & Controls

The camera now aligns correctly with the playable area's edges at all zoom levels.

You can also tilt the camera slightly left and right using the Y and X keys, giving KN Tower's 3D world more depth.

Small change. Big difference.

⚙️ Under the Hood

Numerous smaller improvements focus on performance, stability, internal systems and overall gameplay polish, helping larger and more complex towers remain smooth, responsive and reliable.

🔧 And Much More

A new-game setup screen, updated leaderboards and scoring, an elevator cabin overview, redesigned options, updated tutorials, improved right-to-left language support and Kick chat integration. We also fixed crashes related to audio and closing the game.

Some of you have asked about fast forwarding.

We haven't added it – and there is a reason for that.

There will be more to watch, more to manage, more to react to, and more happening every minute.

Soon, the challenge won't be making time go faster. It will be keeping up. 😉
