Multi-Tactics 0.3.3β Update

Multi-Tactics: 豊葦原星記 -蒸気の章- · published · build 26376504

Version 0.3.3β Is Now Available

This update focuses on fixing issues reported during the previous test and on making the deadline of the Kurokazura quest in Act 3 visible in-game.

We've also fixed multiplayer disconnects and several quest and dialogue issues, added more shops that sell materials, and improved the projectile effects of guns, cannons, and bows.

The Kurokazura quest has a deadline. If it passes, the game ends there. Saving after it has become impossible to make the deadline cannot be undone, so we recommend keeping your progress in separate save slots.

The demo version prepared for Tokyo Game Dungeon 14 is also still included. Press F6 on the title screen to switch to the demo, or F5 to return to the main game. F7 is used for the guest PC in the demo's two-player mode.

Important: Starting the demo will overwrite your current main-game progress (save.json). Save data stored in Slots 1–4 will not be deleted. Please save your progress to one of these slots before starting the demo.

The major changes are listed below.

Kurokazura Quest

  • The quest deadline can now be checked in-game.

    • Ryoko Rokumeikan now states the deadline (the West Day of the Bird Week, Summer Month) when she assigns the quest.

    • A notice about the deadline and saving is now shown right after you accept the quest.

    • The "Quests & Requests" screen now shows the deadline and the days remaining below Routes 1–3.

  • Fixed an issue where the deadline no longer applied after the game had ended by passing it and you continued from the title screen.

  • Fixed an issue where the game could still end by the deadline even after the Kurokazura had been defeated.

  • Fixed an issue where an unreachable objective, "Ask around in Shiomisaki Village," appeared after failing to gather information in Yunami Village on Route 3.

    • If you fail there, Route 3 now ends. Please continue via Route 1 or Route 2.

    • Save data that has already gone through the failed outcome will keep this objective.

Quests & Dialogue

  • Fixed an issue where your party's questions were skipped while gathering information at Kuromatsuya in Ohara Town.

  • Fixed an issue where the sake brewery in Kuze Village said "That matches what we heard at Kuromatsuya" even if you had not visited Kuromatsuya.

  • Fixed an issue where Ishida's lines repeated after the final confrontation at the Old Tree, preventing progress.

  • Fixed an issue where canceling lodging in Act 3 sent you back to the Tetsuuchi Smithy conversation in Mijikakyo from Act 2.

  • Recovery from rest for the elapsed days is now applied at the start of Act 3.

    • Even though days pass between the battle at Nakazawa Village and the return to Mijikakyo, hunger, fatigue, and other conditions were not recovering.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Depart" button could not be pressed at Mitsutsuji in Act 3.

  • Fixed the location name shown when entering Kuromatsuya's Ohara branch, which read "Mijikakyo, Yamashiro" instead of "Ohara Town, Yamashiro."

  • Unified the mixed bold and regular lines on the "Quests & Requests" screen to regular.

  • Fixed the ruby (reading) of "Kawabata Village" and of the crest name in the "Kurokazura" glossary entry.

  • Fixed a missing character in the glossary entry for "highwayman."

Combat

  • Projectile effects of guns, cannons, and bows now fly toward the target. Previously they flew in the direction the attacker was facing, so they could appear to miss.

  • Fixed an issue where a pig and a toad clustered together and stopped moving for a while in the battle at Nakazawa Village.

  • The ceiling corner stones and walls in the mine, as well as the houses, shops, and barricades in Nakazawa Village, now become transparent when the camera gets close. The transparent range has also been widened.

Base

  • Materials can now be bought at both Kuromatsuya (main store, Fukakusa branch, and Ohara branch) and the Tetsuuchi Smithy.

    • Each shop now stocks weapon materials, low-grade materials, and standard-grade materials, so visiting several shops lets you gather more.

    • Low-grade materials were previously not sold anywhere.

  • Fixed an issue where the estimated weight after buying or selling on the trade confirmation screen did not match the actual result.

  • Fixed an issue where perks that can be learned multiple times could not be learned a second time or more.

Multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue where guests could be disconnected during battle. It occurred when joining a room after playing a battle alone.

  • Fixed an issue where a player who left and rejoined was sent to the post-battle conversation.

  • Fixed an issue where multiple sentries could not be selected when camping. Sentry duty can now be shared among several members.

  • Fixed an issue where closing the dining or lodging screen with "Cancel" darkened the screen, and guests even heard the lodging sound effect. Canceling no longer darkens the screen or plays the sound.

Demo Version

  • Fixed an issue where the guest PC could not connect to the host PC in two-player mode. In the demo (F6/F7), the PCs now connect directly over LAN without changing any settings. The guest PC connects to the host address "192.168.77.1".

  • Fixed an issue where no one was assigned to the conversation in two-player mode, so choices could not be selected.

  • Fixed an issue where the preset members' condition did not start at its maximum.

  • Fixed an issue where the slimes attacked with their bare hands. The green and blue slimes now also use different combat AI.

  • After the ending, returning to the title screen now disconnects first instead of opening the connection screen.
