1.0 Is Out Now - Early Access Comes To An End!!

major update

Card Collection Simulator · published · build 26374532

Hello Collectors!

Card Collection Simulator is officially out of Early Access! Thank you to everyone who has opened packs, reported bugs and shared feedback with us over the last year. Patch 1.0 is our biggest update ever. It finishes the full 1 to 50 journey and adds the core features our players have been asking for. Here is everything that's new.

Card Collection Simulator 1.0

Major Changes

  • Reworked the entire Convention layout. The convention is now four big sections that are larger and more interesting to work. Added a second entrance/exit and a hallway outside the doors where NPCs come and go.

  • The convention can now hold up to 250 NPCs. Con-goers stay longer and visit more tables, so the con feels full and alive in the late game.

  • Added real baked lighting and shadows to the convention, your home, and the Trophy Room. Home windows now show day, evening, and night.

  • Raised the Player Level cap from 40 to 50. Levels 30-50 add automation, new booth employees, Box Sets, Card Regrading upgrades, and more.

  • Raised the Streamer Level cap from 11 to 20 with lots of new streaming perks (see Streaming Changes below).

  • Added Convention Owner. Manage your convention from the new Convention Owner app on your tablet: hire employees, fill your booths, and see the status of every spot in each section.

  • Reworked NPC Booths into hirable Booth Employees. You get up to 8 NPC booths across the con and choose which employee works each one. Every employee brings a buff, such as more card sales, more con XP, trader rerolls, more con NPCs, more event NPCs, extra grading days, extra minigame uses, and TCG set bonuses that grow stronger as you stack employees from the same TCG. New employees unlock at levels 28, 34, and 46.

  • Added full Automation, unlocking at level 29. Hire Janitors to clean trash, posters, and spills in their section. Hire Security Guards to catch thieves heading for their door. Hire Auto Booth sellers to sell cards for you. Status text above each employee shows what they are doing. New tiers of automation employees unlock at 32, 42, and 48.

  • Reworked Donations. Donating cards to the convention now earns Artifact Points (AP), which you spend in the new Artifact Shop on artifact cards and graded slabs. Donating to kids still earns XP.

  • Added Favorite Cards. Favorite up to 3 cards in your Cluckdex and they show up more often in the Artifact Shop. Favorite cards have a pity system, so every miss raises your odds on the next roll.

  • Reworked Wild Churn into Base Churn. It now gives Artifact Points, shows how many cards you can churn of each rarity, and its daily limits uncap as you level (commons at 36, uncommons at 40, everything at 50).

  • Added Box Sets. Box Sets come with 10 packs and let you target a specific set and rarity. New shared-card packs mean you can now target shared cards too. Box Sets unlock from levels 37 to 49. The Artifact Box Set unlocks at 49 and can be bought once a day.

  • Reworked Grading. There is no more daily grading limit. You pay a flat fee for each card based on its rarity and set, and higher rarities take longer to grade. Grading is now done in bulk, and a new Pending Grades panel shows when your cards will be ready. Regrading now works the same way.

  • Reworked Trading. Trade vendors now show 3 cards instead of 1, and the second trade box at each vendor has been removed.

  • Added new Event NPCs. Coin Flippers challenge you to a coin flip over a card. Scalpers start showing up in Con 3.

  • Added new convention stockables. Stock the Card Sleeve Vendor, the Food Stall, and the Vending Machines for their bonuses. All of them can now be restocked mid-con.

  • Added the Claw Machine, unlocking at level 18 in Con 3. Its rewards scale with your Collection Score.

  • Extended Collection Score rewards up to 1,000,000. New rewards include more Artifact Shop slots and rerolls, more AP, sponsor rerolls, uncapped daily pack purchases, Claw Machine and Wheel upgrades, and repeatable rewards for free packs, free artifact packs, and free Box Sets.

  • Added Trophy Room expansions 2 and 3.

  • Added Twitch chat names. Enter your channel name and the names of people chatting in your real Twitch chat will start appearing in your in-game stream chat.

  • Reworked stat tracking. A new Stats app on your tablet tracks lots of new stats across the game.

Streaming Changes

  • Streamer Levels now go up to 20. Fast Packs, Automod, PO Box, donations, subscribers, and channel raids gain new tiers as you level.

  • Added Subscribers. Once unlocked you slowly gain subs, up to 50% of your chatter count, and they add to your daily stream money.

  • Added Channel Raids. Other streamers will raid you, and you earn 2x XP during a raid.

  • Added Slow Mode to keep a busy chat under control.

  • Added full Automod. Automod greets your viewers, posts tips, and keeps up with chat for you.

  • Added a Chatter List. You can now rename or reset your stream chatters.

  • Added another Fast Packs speed tier.

  • Added a new Pack Inventory menu. The numbers floating above the packs on your desk have been removed, and you can pick packs from the menu instead. Pack counts over 999 now display correctly.

  • Follower gain is no longer capped after Streamer Level 15.

  • Added a Stream Levels app on your tablet showing what each level gives.

Minor Changes

  • Reworked the player booth. You no longer load cards from a box. Card sales stats now show in a floating panel you can toggle on and off, and the old booth tablet has been removed.

  • Each section of the convention now has its own look, and every booth (grading, regrading, donating, churning, auto booth) has its own visuals.

  • Added new posters, props, trash types, and walls of small posters that don't fall down.

  • Trash, fallen posters, and spills now despawn after 2 minutes instead of 3.

  • Convention activities happen more often as the number of NPCs grows.

  • Once Con 2 is unlocked, thieves who steal in Con 1 run for the Con 2 exit, and the other way around.

  • Thieves now stop spawning at 4pm, and Security Guards stay at the con until you head home.

  • Removed the old convention events. Their bonuses now come from your Booth Employees.

  • Removed the old NPC booth and automation upgrades from the upgrade shop. Saves that had them will no longer load them.

  • Combined the upgrade shop into two tabs instead of three and improved its sorting.

  • Shops now show what is needed to unlock locked items.

  • Added info buttons to the Artifact Shop and Cabinet Sponsor.

  • Artifact Shop prices are now colored by base rarity, and buying asks you to confirm.

  • Added a Collect All button for Cabinet Rewards.

  • Added Level, Stream Level, and Collection Reward apps on your tablet so you can see what is coming next.

  • Updated the card and artifact shaders. Cards now show their rarity.

  • Updated the NEW CARD display when opening packs.

  • Right clicking at the end of a pack opening now takes you back to pack select.

  • Added lots of new tutorials, including a Day 2 tutorial, a guided Trophy Room tutorial, and new level and feature tutorials. Tutorials now queue up if more than one triggers at once, and level tutorials wait until your stream ends.

  • Added a new save point when you head to the con.

  • The game now loads in a startup scene so it no longer freezes while NPCs spawn.

  • Added 250 new con-goer NPCs and 30 new booth NPCs.

  • Updated the lore for most cards and their artifact versions. Some cards were renamed.

  • Build mode fixes: you can no longer leave build mode while inside an object, and expansions now remove walls correctly.

  • Janitors move a little faster.

  • Reduced the ball punch cooldown and added ball goals as a stat.

  • A message now appears when you load a save from before 1.0.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a softlock when dropping trash over a trash can and picking up new trash.

  • Fixed tutorials causing the mouse to lock or the game to softlock.

  • Fixed several save/load bugs.

  • Fixed losing a small amount of voucher progress when leveling up mid-con at certain levels.

  • Fixed thieves and donating kids getting stuck in the con at 5pm.

  • Fixed home posters being usable before they were unlocked.

  • Fixed right click not working in pause sub-menus.

Developer Thoughts

Hey Guys!

Big patch, big goals! Our main goal for this one was to finally finish the full journey from level 1 to 50. There's now over 20 hours of main gameplay and well over 50 hours of grinding your Collection Score. What's next

  • Upcoming weeks: we'll be fixing bugs, adding tutorials where they're needed, and addressing any balance concerns

  • Possible 1.1: depending on feedback we may release a 1.1 patch before the end of December

About the AI art
We wanted to replace all of the AI art before 1.0, but we couldn't make it work with our current resources. Our goal is still to replace all of it with hand-created art, and we're hoping 1.0 gets more eyes on the game to help us get there. There's no date yet, but we'll share progress as we go.Thank you all again for being part of our development journey. Good luck and much love, collectors! ❤
