A much bigger star tree, Expert bots, and multiplayer catching up with the levels.
The star tree
- 54 upgrades on ten branches, more than the whole ladder pays for, so you choose a build. Each tower has its own branch, ending in a choice of two (Broadheads or Quick Draw, Deep Cold or Long Winter and so on). Gold and lives have a branch each.
- Every star you spent on the old tree is back to spend.
Levels
- A new level card. The world's rule hangs on a banner, the rounds are laid out on a rail (bosses, drafts and tide rounds where they fall), and what's new or different is one short line each.
- The draft opens as soon as its round begins. The four-second INCOMING DRAFT card is gone.
- Press Q to open and close ALL PAIRS. You can change the key under Settings, Controls.
- Level 46: the Warden at the end has a fifth less health, so you can take only gold at every draft for the crown and still get three stars in the same game.
Multiplayer
- Tower pairs now work in multiplayer: every pair, the same for every player. ALL PAIRS sits on the Build heading.
- A new end screen, in the shape of the level-cleared one: your place, how many you outlasted, your best send and the biggest wave you held, your lives with each player marked where they went out, your damage, and the whole table in the order it finished.
- No countdown in front of a draft any more, and you can't pick up a tower just before it - a draft never cuts off a tower you're placing.
- New bot difficulty: Expert. It builds better mazes, specializes its towers and sends what your maze can't stop. It builds and sends last, once everyone has readied, and plays each send out in its head first, so expect Juggernauts, Knights and the odd Colossus where a Grunt would just die. It beats Hard bots about three games in four.
Endless
- The bosses grow much more slowly from round 21 on. Past round 55 a boss was a wall a full maze couldn't touch while the waves barely got a third of the way in. The round-57 boss has half the health it had, the one at 77 a third.
- The waves grow a little faster through the 50s and 60s, and from round 71 they grow at the bosses' pace, so a regular enemy never ends up as tough as a boss.
Fixes
- A camera you've turned or tilted stays where you put it during a fight instead of zooming in on the enemies. RESET CAMERA hands it back to the fight. Same on a level and in multiplayer.
- Endless: the game no longer freezes for a moment when the world changes (going into the Ashfall at round 21 it was about a second).
Multiplayer needs everyone on 0.12.0 - an older build can't join a 0.12.0 table.
