The RiverFilms update: Bugs found -> Bugs Fixed, and improvements made

Parry Dungeon · published · build 26371276

Thanks @RiverFilms:

Made some improvements based on his feedback:
1. inventory hotbar: previously couldn't scroll up and down and instead had to press a separate keybind for each button. I prefer this, but I added scroll functionality.
2. dead monsters disappearing: I previously made NPC corpses despawn 60s after death for optimization purposes, as I was chasing an important FPS fix weeks ago. That FPS fix was solved differently, so I just removed NPCs despawning. NPC corpses seem to have negligible impact on FPS, so now you can return anywhere in the level and cut up an old corpse for healing, if you consumed all corpses nearby and need healing.
3. ogre no longer gets stuck on campfire: This was caused by root motion baked into his animations. Some of his attacks move him forward, and this forward motion bypasses the pathfinding that normally paths around campfires. So, when he attacks you, he sometimes would move forward and step onto a campfire. If you parry him while he's on a campfire, he's now standing on a no-pathfinding area, so he'll get stuck. I solved this by repositioning the nearby campfire so no nearby ground is level with it, so he won't accidentally step onto it anymore, so he won't get stuck.
4. wyvern no longer get stuck while following you because its collision box is now larger than the hallway, so it can't fit. After a few seconds, it forgets you like other monsters, but instead of waiting around (blocking the entrance back out), it retreats back to its resting area, for you to re-engage.

Thanks River and the 20-ish people who bought Parry Dungeon. I'm grateful for your feedback and reviews, and am starting my next adventure - I'll focus harder on getting feedback before I publish it, so the public has greater impact on its development, and so it's more polished and tested by release. I think I understand how to increase my audience, so I'll do that so I can become better, faster (at making games).

Please point out any bugs as you find them - thanks!
