A new look, a new Comics mode, and more ways to create together. This update refreshes the interface, expands your drawing tools, and brings reworked multiplayer to lobbies of up to 50 players.
Start a story, pass it on, and see where everyone else takes it. In Comics, you build a page together, drawing one highlighted panel per round.
Choose from 2 to 6 panels per comic.
Continue another player's story while keeping earlier panels in view.
Use the lasso to copy characters or props from earlier panels into the next part of the story.
Watch finished comics reveal panel by panel on the results screen.
The main menu, lobby browser, lobby, settings, drawing editor, and results screen now share a redesigned blue style, with new layouts and icons.
More options for quick sketches, little details, and happy accidents:
A new spray tool for color dots, textures, and soft accents.
Flip selections horizontally or vertically, rotate them, and resize them.
A redesigned color picker interface.
Clearer brush cursors, a zoom indicator, and improved canvas zooming and panning.
Performance improvements for large brushes, fills, and selection operations.
Lobbies now support up to 50 players. We've reworked how drawings and round state are synchronized, along with the handling of players leaving and returning.
Automatic reconnection after connection drops.
The ability to rejoin an ongoing session after restarting the game.
Host migration when the lobby owner disconnects.
Clearer connection status indicators.
An interactive tutorial covering drawing tools, colors, notes, passing animation frames, and viewing results.
Smoother menu and window transitions, with faster settings opening.
Improved microphone and output-device selection, including device lists that refresh when you connect new hardware while the game is running.
New game-start countdown and lobby join/leave sounds.
Improved shortcut rebinding, text alignment, and localized layouts across different languages and screen sizes.
This update also fixes issues across drawing, multiplayer, results, and the interface:
Fixed a crash that could occur after returning to the main menu and then joining another lobby or resizing the window.
Fixed rounds getting stuck after a reconnect or host change, including rounds without a time limit.
Fixed Ready carrying over from an earlier round, and pressing Enter again in a description field undoing readiness.
Fixed missing drawings and lost prompts when players leave or rounds advance before all drawings arrive.
Fixed results skipping drawings that were still downloading, and the results Start button getting stuck after a player rejoined.
Fixed lobby and ready states that could prevent another game from starting in the same room.
Fixed likes not being restored when reopening a chain, and votes being counted more than once after returning to a lobby.
Fixed strokes ending short with stabilization, missing dots from small brushes, and Shift lines painting on the canvas edge after clicking outside it.
Fixed pasted selections being impossible to move and issues with complex lasso outlines.
Fixed push-to-talk failing after sending a chat message, and copy/paste shortcuts accidentally activating the microphone.
Fixed GIF export making the game hang on exit and rare malformed GIF frames.
Thanks for playing and sharing your creations. Grab a few friends, try Comics, and see what you can come up with together!
