Update r1.06 — Ministries & Legends

major update

Mandate of Heaven : Dynasty Breakout Idle · published · build 26370168

The empire finally has a civil service, and three new legends answer the call. Two new Mandate upgrades hire ministries that spend your coin for you, three new heroes join the roster, and twenty-two new achievements bring the total to fifty. Your save carries over, no reset required.

Ministry of War (兵部)

Hire the Ministry of War with Mandate Points and it buys balls on its own, always picking the cheapest one your treasury can cover, so the whole army grows evenly while you watch.

  • Five levels. The first acts every 2.5 seconds; at full strength it acts five times a second and buys several balls each time.

  • Right-click any ball button to tell the ministry to leave that type alone. Skipped types are struck through in the top bar. Right-click again to resume.

  • A gold flash on a ball button shows you each purchase as it happens.

Ministry of Works (工部)

Its sister ministry buys Pow+, Spd+ and Sprd+ for every ball type you own, cheapest first, and stops at each upgrade's cap. It never spends coin on a type you have no balls of.

Your Empire, Your Call

  • Each ministry has an Auto: On / Off switch on its card in the Prestige panel.

  • Both ministries survive a Prestige Reset: hire them once and they are waiting at the start of every run.

  • They stay out of Challenges, so leaderboard times are unaffected.

  • Ministry purchases count toward your statistics and achievements exactly like your own clicks.

Three New Heroes

Unlike the original six, the new heroes grow with your army: their damage scales with your strongest ball, so they hit as hard at stage 240 as at stage 20.

  • Sun Wukong, Great Sage Equal to Heaven - plucks his hairs into 72 golden clones over 30 seconds, in three bursts of 24, each hunting down the nearest bricks.

  • Zheng He, Admiral of the Western Seas - seven treasure ships sail the most crowded rows of the field, smashing every brick in their path.

  • Wu Zetian, the Only Empress - for 30 seconds your balls, splash and clicks strike three times as hard, while phoenix feathers drift across her court.

Pantheon and Council of Six still ask for the original six heroes only, so nothing you have already earned changes meaning.

Twenty-Two New Achievements

Fifty achievements in total. Fifteen new milestones for the long game, from Hundred Thousand Walls and The Long March to Heaven-Splitting Blow and Ten Thousand Years. Most of them track lifetime statistics you have already been building, so many players will unlock several the moment they load in.

Three more for the ministries (Civil Service, Grand Secretariat and The Bureaucracy Never Sleeps) and four for the new heroes: Havoc in Heaven, Seven Voyages, The Only Empress and The Later Pantheon.

Fixes

  • Sworn Brothers could never unlock: the achievement was registered on Steam under a misspelled name, so the game's unlock call never matched it. It is fixed. Clear the Yellow Turban Chaos with the Oath of the Peach Garden used during the fight and the oath finally holds.

  • The Celestial Road achievements now name the boss correctly: the Mech Sovereign.

  • Translation fixes: the Peasant Levy's name in Simplified Chinese now uses the correct simplified characters, the Assassin is properly named in Japanese, and the Bronze Dagger-Axe is no longer called a halberd in Portuguese.

Thank you for playing. As always, the Mandate is yours to claim.
