- Home Waters: The first three Sailing School lessons are now one continuous story lesson, told in sixteen short steps with rewritten narrator lines.
- Look About You: A new step teaches you to move the camera around your ship.
- Captain's Tricks: Your captain's active abilities start locked in the lesson and unlock in a dedicated step, so you learn the basics before your captain's tricks.
Changes & Balance
- Smoother start: The lesson picks a loadout for you instead of asking you to choose abilities first. You now start facing the islands with the wind at your back.
- My Dock tabs: Ship Customization, Captain's Log and Stats now sit on tabs under one header, with a single Back button. Controllers can switch tabs with left and right.
- Bow spray: The full-speed spray now starts at the ship's bow instead of floating ahead of it, sweeps back along the hull instead of straight up, and never passes through the hull.
- Almanac pictures: Ship previews are sharp and keep their proper shape instead of appearing blurry and stretched. The Shipyard's ship picture keeps its shape too.
Fixes
- Controls page: How To Play's Controls tab is no longer blank in the Steam build. The other How To Play tabs no longer show raw placeholders like {mortar} either.
- Map selection: The Set Sail map picker no longer opens off-screen in the Steam build.
Behind the scenes, release documentation, developer tools and test coverage were improved.
