Five Feet 4.0 — Football polish and a bigger See You Outside
This update makes Five Feet easier to learn and expands See You Outside with clearer combat feedback, improved menus and experimental objective modes.
Five Feet
- Contextual tips teach existing tricks while you play, with instructions for keyboard or controller.
- Charging a pass, shot or lob now shows which button to release and reminds you to aim manually.
- Possession warnings take priority over trick tips when time is running out.
- Hints follow your remapped controls, support English and Spanish, and can be hidden in settings.
- Adjusted the controls panel to keep the radar visible.
See You Outside
- Clearer damage, stock, knockout and respawn information.
- Improved combo tracking so your counter reflects your own hits.
- Parry feedback now distinguishes between landing a parry and having your attack parried.
- Improved spectator camera behavior and cleaned up effects between rematches.
- Added painted stage backgrounds and updated environmental details.
- Expanded controls explanations and made stage descriptions clearer about hazards and rules.
Online and menus
- Clearer ready states and player labels in rooms.
- Better guidance when retrying a connection or waiting for players.
- Connection notices during matches.
- Clearer rematch voting, including how many players are ready.
- Match results remain readable after a disconnect.
Experimental objective modes
Development continues on larger team battles, including capture-the-flag gameplay and a 16-player online test mode. These remain experimental; regular SYO matches retain their four-player limit.
Thanks for playing and sending feedback. If something breaks, please include the mode, stage, player count and what happened before the issue. Clips help us track it down.
