Meat Train · published · build 26129741
These procedurally generated dungeons can be found around the map, these are a great place to farm up meat fast and speed up your progress...
There are 3 new enemies exclusive to the flesh caves: Spitters, Critters and Tumors.
For now, there isn't much variation in the cave layout, but the foundations have been laid... I'm excited to add more types of organs and challenges in the near future.
These now provide an opportunity for some loot and a way to get some height, which can be useful once you have the glider.
There are also some rare weapon spawns (2% chance for a mid tier weapon, 1% chance for a military weapon)
This junction provides a good shortcut if you're feeling lucky and want to rush into that late game area.
These really help set the mountain area apart from the rest of the map.
I love the vibe these bring to the world, very eerie.
I recently played "White Knuckle" on Steam and.. its a total masterpiece, I really liked the climbing mechanic, so I added something similar to Meat Train!
With the Fists equipped, you can now grab surfaces using both hands by holding left and right mouse button. It's definitely not as elegant as White Knuckles climbing system, but I think it's a fun addition that gives you a lot more options when navigating the world, I'll be introducing more level design that makes use of this mechanic over time!
Say goodbye to the old rusty gunshop! When you die, this is where you will be taken...
I wanted to add an area to the game that is pretty, to balance out the carnage.
This area will evolve over time and is a work in progress, next update I want to add a shooting range with a minigame to test your weapons and skills.
High damage sniper that must be charged up before it shoots.
This is the first weapon created by my brother, Matt. He is learning fast and I'm excited to see what he cooks up next.
This gun is a good all rounder, if can be rapidly fired or you can hold to charge it up, dealing more damage.
The game has come a long long way since it was released back in January.
I've fixed all the major problems and I think the game is ready for a bigger audience.
Meat Train is far from complete though! I will be releasing regular updates for the forseeable future, there is lots of new content planned, check out the roadmap if you're interested in what is to come.
