Split Decision 3D Plays Great On Steam Deck

STEAM DECK: CONFIRMED

When we say it plays great on Deck, we do not mean we checked and nothing was on fire. We mean you pick it up and it is already the game. The buttons on screen are the buttons in your hands. The whole thing runs on the Deck's own Linux, with nothing translating in the middle. Four people can play on one Deck, which is small, and so, by the end, is the friendship.

WHAT THAT ACTUALLY MEANS

  • Zero keyboard, zero mouse, zero text entry, from the boot screen to the winner's dance
  • Every prompt names the button on the controller in your hands: Cross and Circle on a PlayStation pad, A and B on an Xbox pad, the Deck as itself
  • A native Linux build. No Proton, no launcher, no excuses
  • One to four players, split screen, on one Deck, with every pad Steam can see
  • Invert Y per seat, so the argument stays between you and your friends

WHAT IT DOES NOT MEAN

It does not mean the henchmen are any less useless, or that Rex Magnum has forgiven anyone. Some things do not port.

Wishlist it, and tell whoever was on the sofa with you in 1997.

Split Decision was not a real blockbuster movie... I think. The development team did not mysteriously disappear. The Steam Deck is real; we checked.
