I am very happy to announce that we reached 100 wishlists today! It is great to see so many people like this type of game.
This little game started as something I made for myself and my friends some time ago, but it kept evolving into what is now a fully playable game. So, to thank you all for the wishlists, I am announcing:
Right now, the match engine you see when you play isn't really a match engine per se. The game already knows what is about to happen, and it tries to show an accurate representation of it on the pitch. That decision was made when development started, because the game began as a 100% text based game. Now, with the 2D graphics, I thought revamping the whole system so the pitch would drive it was practically impossible.
For several weeks now I have been splitting my efforts between two things:
It is a very difficult thing to do, so it has taken me some time, including the appearance of new bugs in the demo because of the HUD changing (I won't get specific there, for your sake).
This new match style will be coming to the demo soon. It is my hope that it will be millions of times less buggy than the current one (in which sometimes things just happen randomly), and that it will also give more playstyle options to the player, as decisions won't simply be A, B or C, but rather a whole spectrum of what to do when facing a situation.
PS: in this new version minigames will not be available for now, but they are being remade to fit the new match engine and to be satisfying to play.
Once again, thank you all for the wishlists. I hope you find that the game fits your standards. See you soon with this update!
