HumanitZ Experimental 1.1 Update - Out Now

major update

HumanitZ · published

Survivors! It has been a fast 6 months since 1.0! We are here to deliver to you all an Experimental version of what we have been working on this entire time, for full launch implementation with the Spooky Update which is also fast approaching. The goal for this Experimental Update is to capture all of your feedback to the below mentioned areas and allow us to tweak, add, or remove for the full version. Our Private Testing Group has been instrumental in getting the initial feedback, quality assurance, and ideas to bring our vision to life and for you all to enjoy in a much more stable environment. This isn’t to say you won’t incur some bugs here and there to be identified, but to play with the new features and be a part of the process on a much larger scale. This will also afford us more time to work on some long-standing issues, or add in some functions we may not have thought of, again, producing a more solid 1.1 full experience. In order to opt into the Experimental Branch:
- Right-click on HumanitZ in your Steam Library, select Properties, and then Game Versions and Betas. You should see Experimental with a date of 27 August. That will be what you need to select in order to play. The game will conduct the update and you will be good to go. All Experimental Branch data will carry over to 1.1 Full Release with the Spooky Update.IMPORTANT!!! It is highly recommended you use a new save file to play the Experimental Branch, use old or current saves at your own risk. Once you update a current save to Experimental, you cannot revert your save back to 1.09.A without corrupting your save. We cannot help you recover lost data or revert your saves. There will be no Experimental Official Servers at this stage, it may change during this cycle. We will continue to add more things during the Experimental Branch and it will receive updates over this evolution. So without taking up more of your time so you can jump in, here’s what to expect:New AdditionsNPC RecruitmentFor those of you who feel a bit lonely, out in the world you will come across random NPCs who you may want to recruit to your base. They will be able to perform various actions such as following to assist you when on runs, conduct actions at the base, provide security, and you can send them out on tasks. Be warned, when recruiting, pay attention to the traits they bring along with them. Some will not reveal themselves until after a bit of time in the community. Not everyone may be as friendly as they appear! Remember, recruiting NPCs is not mandatory to enjoy the game, just something extra. In the Experimental Build, you will have automatic access off the rip to get your communities started by building the Community Tower. You will be able to create up to 2 additional outposts, which you can upgrade to allow more Survivors, and even exchange them between locations. They will communicate their needs, wants, and grievances, so it will be your responsibility to ensure morale of the community is high, less you incur catastrophic consequences! We are still working on more ways to recruit NPCs which will come with the full 1.1 release, but for now, they are just out in the wild. Some of these ways include randomly showing up to your camp after a CB Radio call, walkie talkies, and quests. These will progressively be added in over the course of 1.1 Experimental.
