Update 1.0.2: New Routes, Difficulty Previews and Language Improvements

Decisive Decks · published · build 25991268

This update adds more routes to the world map for greater flexibility when planning your campaign, alongside improvements to difficulty previews, short-route visibility and first-launch language selection.

Five new two-way routes
- Aleutian Patrol ↔ California Approaches
- South Pacific Patrol ↔ Galapagos Supply
- Manila ↔ Java Sea
- Scapa Flow ↔ North Sea Blockade
- Saipan / Guam ↔ Guadalcanal / Ironbottom Sound

The new Pacific routes let you reach the American side of the Pacific without passing through Pearl Harbor. The other routes offer additional regional connections. Pearl Harbor remains a national final battle, with existing final-battle unlock requirements and encounters along your route unchanged.

Difficulty previews and map navigation
- You can now select locked difficulties to read their descriptions. Starting a campaign remains disabled while previewing a locked difficulty; the existing unlock requirements still apply.
- Improved the visibility of very short routes when selected. The map zooms in slightly where needed to make the connection easier to see. Selecting the same route repeatedly will not keep zooming in, and you can still zoom out manually.

Language settings
- On first launch, the game selects Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English or Japanese based on your system language. Unsupported system languages default to English.
- Improved detection of Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and made language selection consistent across the intro, loading screen and main menu. Your manual language choice is saved and takes priority on future launches.
- Improved recovery from a corrupted language settings file: the damaged file is backed up before automatic language settings are recreated.
