v1.0.0

MOBA Manager Playtest · published · build 25882085

The Full Release — early, for playtesters

I'll start with the news you may have already seen: the 1.0 launch on October 15 has been delayed while we complete Steam's release review. The game itself is finished, though, so rather than keep it on a shelf, the full 1.0 build is now live in the playtest.

Everything below is new since v0.B.6. This is the 1.0 build, so anything you find now gets fixed before release — keep the reports coming.

Champion patches got an overhaul

  • No more exact numbers — patch notes now read the way real ones do: "Q cooldown reduced.", "Late-game scaling improved." How much a change really matters is yours to find out in your matches.
  • Patches can now also shift a champion's early, mid or late-game power.
  • The Champions page shows each champion's roles and a rough early / mid / late power rating instead of exact win rates and tiers. Champion Stats shows the same ratings for the current patch. Exact values now live only in the Database Editor.
  • Draft Mode lists champions alphabetically, so the champion list no longer gives the tier list away.
  • Fixed heroes losing their extreme early- or late-game strength after the first patch, or when edited in the Database Editor.

Customise your competitions

The Database Editor has a new Competitions section.

  • Rename any league, tournament or international event. New names show up everywhere straight away.
  • Switch leagues, whole regions and international events on or off mid-save, in both game modes.
  • Changes take effect from the next season, so the season you're in always plays out as it started.
  • A league that closes winds up its clubs, and their players become free agents. If it was your club, you're out of a job — and the job offers follow.
  • A league that opens is founded with brand-new clubs.
  • History keeps the titles of competitions you've switched off.

Scenarios & custom databases

  • Create a Scenario now starts with a clear "start here" upload that explains which file to use. The other steps stay locked until a database is loaded.
  • Full save files (Tools → Save File) now work as a database in Create a Scenario and the New Game wizard, alongside Save Export files.
  • Fixed teams with fewer than five players in a custom database fielding players out of position — missing roles are now filled, so every team starts with a full lineup.

Quality of life

  • Click any team name — in Standings, the Schedule, the dashboard, brackets, stats tables, History, player pages and inbox reports — to open that team's roster.
  • The changelog keeps older versions tucked away; click a version to read its full notes.

Also in this patch

  • Inbox mails now use leagues' proper names instead of internal codes.
  • Job offers and "you've lost your club" mails now arrive in Minimal inbox mode — before, an unemployed manager on Minimal never heard from clubs.

Thanks as always for the reports and feedback, and for your patience with the delay.
The Training and Academy updates are still coming after release as promised.

If you're enjoying MOBA Manager, wishlist & follow to hear the moment it launches.

See you on the stage. 🏆
