Your upgrade trees needed some life | Update 0.41.1

Gravebound Rising · published · build 25796010

Hey everyone,

Another update is live. The upgrade screens felt a little bland, especially Legacy. I want building up your army to feel good even when you are picking its next upgrade, so those screens got some love.

Give those bones a little more direction

  • Soul Bindings, Tactics, Raid Doctrine, Settlement AI, and Legacy Prestige now have clearer cards, branch colors, and rank progress bars.
  • You can focus on one branch at a time. The in-run trees also let you browse by tier, so it is easier to see what you can work toward next.
  • Cards now tell you whether you can buy a rank, need more resources, need to open its tier, or have already mastered it. Buying a rank gets a little visual feedback too.
  • Legacy looks better, but its effects, costs, and unlock rules are unchanged. Your purchased ranks stay yours.

This is a better way to read and browse your upgrades. I have not rearranged the actual unlock requirements or changed the core gameplay with this update.

The instructions should actually match the buttons

I cleaned up the wording across the trees, tutorial, Help, and Options so the names point you to the right place.

One important correction: Autonomous Raids come from Settlement AI → War Council → Campaign Authority. Invest three ranks anywhere in Settlement AI to open Tier II, then buy Campaign Authority for one Settlement Insight and 150 ore. You do not have to buy every earlier War Council upgrade like the old tutorial wording suggested.

The tier names now match between the filters and cards, and locked upgrades explain what you need instead of just showing a price.

A different sound for your growing realm

The music has been updated with a slower, darker feel and more room to breathe. It adds layers as your settlements develop. I want it to fit the adventure while you turn a handful of dumb skeletons into something worth fearing.

Your music volume and mute controls still work. There is also a fix to keep music from dumping a bunch of queued notes at you when you return after the game has been in the background.

Thank you for playing and letting me know what needs work. Keep telling me what feels good and what gets in the way. I want this game to keep getting better.
