萌爪造万物 Playtest · published · build 24687376

Hello, Workshop Keepers!Version v0.10.1 reworks movement and battlefield presentation in the combat overlay, expands the Holdout stage structure, and improves Steam automatic sign-in, client update notices, server maintenance warnings, online player counts, and the Feedback Board. We have also adjusted combat loot, mine-field rule visibility, starter items, and several production progression rules to make the game easier to understand and more consistent to play.

Combat Overlay Rework

  • The player now advances to the right while enemies approach from the right side of the battlefield.

  • Each side stops only after entering its own attack range, preventing long periods of waiting in place or units walking into overlapping positions.

  • Once the player reaches the camera-follow position, the character remains stable on screen while the far background, midground, and ground layers continue scrolling.

  • All eight combat regions now include matching layered battlefield assets.

  • New enemies enter naturally from outside the visible area.

  • Movement remains continuous when changing targets or entering a new wave.

  • The player resumes advancing only after the defeated enemy’s death presentation has finished.

  • Fixed enemies appearing to slow down during camera movement, sliding backward against the ground, suddenly changing speed at hidden boundaries, or waiting at the far-right edge.

  • Fixed transparent-area hit testing, drag recovery after hiding and restoring the overlay, and high-DPI or touch long-press behavior that could repeatedly enlarge the window.

  • Damage, attack speed, target selection, and offline settlement are still controlled by the existing combat simulation. The new movement presentation does not independently change combat outcomes.

Expanded Holdout Stages

  • Every combat region has been expanded from 3 stages to 5 stages.

  • The five stage types are Vanguard Camp, Raid Line, Swarm Grounds, Mixed Formation, and Commander Stage.

  • Different stages now focus on frontline, raider, swarm, support, elite, and commander enemy families.

  • Stage 4 introduces mixed formations and elite enemies.

  • Stage 5 is led by the commander of the corresponding region.

  • Stage selection now includes an Enemy Formation preview, allowing players to inspect expected enemy families and tactical themes before entering.

  • The early difficulty wall in the first region has been reduced.

  • Stage 1-2 no longer includes elite enemies.

  • Enemy strength, elite count, and rewards now increase more gradually in later stages.

  • Existing three-stage progress is migrated automatically to the new five-stage structure without resetting the player’s deepest progress.

Combat Loot Changes

  • Combat no longer drops ordinary weapons, armor, or accessories directly.

  • When an ordinary equipment drop would have occurred, the player now receives 1 corresponding crafting material instead.

  • Unique equipment still drops directly with its existing chance, affixes, and trading rules.

  • Abyss treasure rooms, loot rooms, Holdout reward previews, and legacy battle loot boxes now follow the same updated rule.

  • Ordinary equipment already owned by players will not be deleted or automatically converted.

Steam and Online Experience

  • Steam builds now read the active Steam identity, obtain an authentication ticket, and automatically create or load the matching game account.

  • Steam players no longer need to enter a separate third-party username and password.

  • Browser confirmation and secondary sign-in dialogs that previously blocked game entry have been removed.

  • If Steam authentication genuinely fails, a manual retry action and a clear error message remain available.

  • The account page now displays Steam-link status and provides a binding action for existing cloud accounts.

  • The top status bar now displays the current online player count.

  • If the online-count service is unavailable, the client displays -- instead of an incorrect or fabricated value.

  • Steam client build checks have been added.

  • When a mandatory update is detected, players receive a grace period to save before being guided through Save & Quit for Update.

  • Retired client builds pause new online write operations to prevent incompatible versions from modifying cloud data.

  • Scheduled server maintenance now displays a bilingual countdown.

  • During maintenance, players are warned to avoid important market, crafting, and other critical actions.

  • The client automatically attempts to reconnect after the server becomes available again.

Workshop Feedback Board

  • A public Feedback Board is now available under Workshop Settings.

  • Every signed-in player can submit an issue, add comments, and vote for posts.

  • Posts are separated into Unresolved and Resolved lists, with highly voted issues receiving higher visibility.

  • Authors can edit unresolved posts and their own visible comments.

  • Draft content remains available after a network request fails.

  • Administrators can publish resolution notes, mark issues as resolved, reopen issues, and hide or restore violating posts and comments.

  • Resolution history remains permanently appended and visible to players.

  • Added filtering for prohibited language, harassment, advertising, external links, and contact details.

  • Added rate limits, duplicate-submission protection, and network retry protection.

  • Wide windows use a two-column layout, while narrow windows automatically switch to a single-column layout.

Mine-Field Rule Guide

  • The mine-field overview now includes a compact Crop Guide.

  • All seven mineral crops display their unlock level, planting cost, and one key trait.

  • Copper Crystal Sprouts are clearly marked as natural growth that requires no planting material.

  • Higher-tier crops now display the previous-tier ore required for planting.

  • Locked crops still provide a preview of their basic rules.

  • Full probabilities and detailed explanations remain available on the Full Rules page.

  • Compact windows can scroll the guide horizontally instead of compressing the main mine-field controls.

Starter Items and Production

  • The starter fishing rod, monster teeth, slime essence, wood, copper ore, and wood planks are now tradeable.

  • Existing accounts automatically migrate these starter items into tradeable stacks when loading their cloud save.

  • Matching items are merged again while preserving their full quantities.

  • Starter supplies that have already been consumed are not granted again.

  • Fixed first-equipment guidance continuing to appear after the starter weapon had already been equipped.

  • Removed hidden experience multipliers and action-time acceleration from production activities below level 30.

  • Production activities now follow the experience, duration, and progression values displayed by the game.

Interface and Stability

  • Removed Local Archive import, export, and clearing controls from Settings because they could be confused with authoritative cloud progress.

  • Fixed drag-through behavior on the Feedback Board dialog overlay.

  • Fixed native browser autofill interfering with game input fields.

  • Fixed moderator controls not updating immediately after administrator permissions refreshed.

  • Strengthened online-presence cache boundaries, cloud mutation restrictions, save migration, and combat reward paths.

  • Added complete Simplified Chinese and English text for the new features.

  • The game continues to prioritize the player’s saved interface language and uses the Steam game language on first launch.

Thank you to every Workshop Keeper who continues to test the game and send feedback! We will continue improving combat pacing, stage progression, production-rule visibility, and the overall Steam client experience.
