Clearer ways out of a match. The in-game menu now has separate options depending on your role:
Leave match disconnects you from the room. If you're playing, it now warns you that leaving counts as an immediate loss.
Return to lobby (host only) ends the match for everyone and takes the whole room back to the lobby.
Spectators get a proper exit. If you're only watching, leaving just stops your spectating. No scary warning.
"X is watching" notices. You'll see a short message when someone joins your match to spectate.
Less clutter in your alerts. Online errors and notices, like "the room was closed" or "that color is taken", now show up as short pop-ups that disappear by themselves. Before, they stayed on screen until you dismissed them.
Your "Ready" status sticks. The host can now change room settings without resetting everyone's ready check.
Controller shortcuts in the online lobby. The shoulder buttons and triggers now switch tabs, create a room, refresh the list, enter a room code and open search. You no longer have to move the cursor all the way to each button.
Controller & feel
More rumble. Your controller now vibrates lightly when one of your units takes a hit, not only when a unit is destroyed. The hit rumble is shorter and softer, so you can feel the difference between a hit and a loss.
Quick Tutorial
It no longer covers your funds on Steam Deck. On smaller screens like 1280 px, the tutorial banner now finds free space instead of sitting on top of the money panel.
Clearer feedback. When the tutorial blocks a move, its banner gives a small shake so you know where to look for the next step.
Campaign
Simpler campaign map. The region tabs at the top of the campaign screen are gone, which makes the screen easier to read.
Chapter One's ending is tidier. It no longer says the campaign is still in development, since Chapter Two is already out.
Visual fixes
Sniper fits its tile again. The model is slightly smaller, so the full rifle stays inside its square even when the unit turns.
