A new version is available via the 'public_test' branch. The primary new feature is support for OBS Studio as a method for video capture. On some machine/display configurations this will provide a significant performance boost and added flexibility for video capture area, hardware acceleration options and more.
To access the branch, right-click on VBOX Sim in your library, go to properties -> betas and select the 'public_test' beta. Steam should update VBOX Sim to v1.0.49 (you can see the version on the help tab in VBOX Sim).
Go to the 'help' tab in VBOX Sim and follow the instructions to download OBS Studio and install the OBS plugin - then get OBS setup as required (see the 'getting started' link on the Help tab), and change your video capture option to OBS.
