# Beer Break Desktop Update

Beer Break’s desktop refresh is now live on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This update makes the board easier to read, gives saved moves more weight in your final score, and brings Steam leaderboards into the new interface.

## A clearer board and a better desktop interface

- Tankard colors and materials are easier to tell apart when pieces sit side by side. Full-tile runes and updated blockers make it clearer what you need to remove.
- Refreshed the level picker, in-game HUD, and results screen for desktop play. Removed the old tutorial pop-ups and fixed legacy screens flashing between rounds.
- Added a Steam Scores panel to the level picker and results screen. See player avatars, ranks, and scores in a readable grid, and check your standing with **Around Me**.

## Scoring and level balance

- Finishing with moves to spare earns a bigger score bonus. The end-of-round sequence runs at 3× speed and lets each cascade settle before spending the next saved move.
- Rebalanced move limits on many rounds using playtests that prioritized making and combining special pieces.
- Steam records your best scores on the existing leaderboards.

## Gameplay fixes

- Five or more matching pieces in a straight line now earn the gold tankard. If a falling double bonus completes the match, it still explodes and leaves the gold tankard behind.
- Collection rounds stop spawning an objective item once you’ve collected enough of that type.
- Removed the mobile debug shortcut that could be used to cheat on PC.
