Patch Notes
Hey shopkeepers! A new update is here. This time we tackled the wage situation between you and your knights.
Knights No Longer Leave Out of Nowhere
Until now, if their wages couldn't be paid, knights would pack up and leave that very morning. On top of that, the notification that popped up was easy to miss. As a result, some of you thought your knight and their gear had simply vanished. You were right, so we reworked the whole system.
Changes and Improvements
- Unpaid wages now build up as debt. A knight only leaves after three mornings in a row without any payment. No one packs their bags over a single bad day.
- Knights with unpaid wages now write letters to your mailbox. They also send one final warning before leaving, so no more "I had no idea."
- You can pay off the debt right away by talking to your knights or from the headquarters screen. Debt is also paid automatically from your purse when you collect loot and every morning. Partial payments count too, paying bit by bit works just fine.
- When a knight leaves, their gear returns to your inventory, and the game now tells you so clearly. If a piece broke along the way, we let you know about that as well.
Fixes
- If you already have a knight, the guild no longer sends you the introduction letter or the "we've entered your first knight in the ledger" letter that used to arrive days later. We had a word with the guild clerk and the ledgers are in order now. Players in this situation also no longer receive a hiring fee refund.
Keep the reports coming, we read every single one. Now back to the counter!
