Thanks for the feedback! This update makes progression, planetary structures and settings easier to understand while keeping the existing game balance.
After defeating a campaign guardian, you now choose what happens next:
The timer pauses while you make this decision, and the swarm keeps circling. Unlocking Overgrown Orbit or another system no longer moves you there automatically.
Want to start somewhere easier? From the main menu, open Solar Systems and select any unlocked system. Earlier systems remain available, so you can keep earning DNA and improving your swarm before tackling Overgrown Orbit, Frozen Reach and beyond. The tutorial now explains this choice and the need for stronger research in later systems.
Hover over a visible structure to see its purpose, current state and remaining voxel health.
Brighter shot trails and clearer barrel flashes make defensive fire easier to follow. Named destruction messages confirm when a structure has been destroyed or devoured.
Structures can settle into the terrain as the planet is eaten. Sinking does not restore their health. Damaged defences can still attack until destroyed or stunned; root nests have their own regrowth mechanic. The new Planet Structures help page explains these differences.
The Options screen now includes:
Volume, bloom, camera shake and language controls remain available in the reorganised screen.
Existing saves and researched upgrades carry over. Research prices, DNA rewards and combat balance are unchanged. Time Trial keeps its existing timed choices, and the new in-game text is included in all 31 language packs.
Thanks for helping improve Planet Munchers!
