Hi everyone! Vealo has now been launched by almost 24,000 people, and there are more than 200 reviews. Thank you! The main thing in this update is the new “Folder” widget.
New “Folder” widget
Any folder right on your desktop
- Pick a folder from the list, or any other folder on any drive with the “Choose…” button.
- Files open right from the desktop: images in the Vealo viewer, folders in the panel, everything else in its own program.
- Right-click opens a menu of actions.
- You can resize the panel by any edge or corner, and whatever doesn't fit scrolls with the mouse wheel.
- Files are in the same order as in File Explorer.
Two display modes
- “Expanded”: a neat panel with your files on the desktop.
- “Icon”: only the folder icon sits on the desktop. Hover over it, and the box appears right out of it.
Appearance
- Styles, text, accent and background colors, outline and shadow, just like the other widgets.
- Transparency at rest: the widget almost disappears and shows up when you hover over it. In the Vealo style with glass, the widget hides completely, glass included.
- The caption with the folder name can be turned off.
- The “Grid” view is free, the “List” view and some of the styles are in Vealo Pro.
Taskbar
- Tinting the taskbar in your theme color now works several times faster.
Fixes
- After upscaling a wallpaper to 4K, profiles and the “Undo” button in the Workshop use the new image, and the favorite mark is kept.
- Vealo now logs rare freezes in more detail, which helps find their cause faster.
- Plus lots of small fixes.
Special thanks to everyone who shares their work in the Workshop and writes reviews!
