The rumors are true. Middle and side mouse buttons are now bindable.
In addition, hotkeys are now bound to the position of a key, rather than the letter or symbol associated. This means that when a keyboard layout is changed, all assigned hotkeys remain in the same position on the keyboard.
Again, middle and side mouse buttons are now bindable!
We’ve had some time now to observe loot drop rates in the Dragon Sanctuary, and with PvE adjustments and players becoming more familiar with the fights, we decided to make some adjustments here.
When it comes to the "chase item" – the Firewing Drake Egg – the numbers are not entirely where we want them to be. While we are happy that these have started to drop more reliably, we also think that the current loot distribution does not reward higher difficulties enough.
We want the egg drop to feel attainable, but we do not want the most efficient way to achieve that to be the lowest-tier Dragon Sanctuary. For this reason, we have increased the overall drop chance of Firewing Drake Eggs by roughly 40%, but skewed the overall drop distribution towards higher tiers. In short, this means that drop chances in Tier 8 have been increased by 300%, Tier 7 has stayed about the same, and Tier 6 has been reduced by roughly 66%.
The intention is that the most time-effective way to earn one of these, by far, is by playing higher tiers. Ideally, raids like the Dragon Sanctuary encourage players to learn the dungeon on lower tiers, and reward them for maturing into the highest difficulty that they can realistically and economically achieve.
This change only affects the Eggs, and no other loot inside the Dragon Sanctuary.
Axes
Bloody Reap’s Bleed ticks have been made a bit faster, but by adding an additional tick the total duration is now a tad longer. In addition, the per tick damage has been reduced slightly, but the total damage is significantly increased.
Hammers
Grovekeeper’s cast time has been reduced significantly. Not only will it now feel much more responsive, it will also be a bit less telegraphed.
Holy Staffs
Divine Protection now has a bigger shield, not only to absorb more burst damage, but to persist more often for the AoE heal combo.
Maces
The missing AoE escalation has been added to the aura’s pierce (it was already present for the damage).
Quarterstaffs
Concussive Combo has received a stacking slow on the first two abilities in the combo, to help solidify its place as the clear CC option for supportive and tank Quarterstaffs.
Shapeshifter Staffs
Sinister Swipes’ mob execute has a maximum damage cap to prevent it from cheesing boss encounters, but its value was quite restrictive. This cap has now been significantly increased to improve its PvE performance.
Swords
The damage dealt by passing through targets with Claymore’s Charge has been increased, because if you go through all the effort to line up the full skewer, you should be properly rewarded!
Majestic Smash’s inspiration aura has had its damage increased to reward skillful play (as long as your allies can capitalize, that is).
Offhands
We have reduced Blueflame Torch’s base values to match Muisak. The energy penalty and CCR reduction are similar in their downsides, both with similar tools for efficient mitigation. Blueflame Torch can have a higher max Item Power, so it still tops out slightly above Muisak.
Helmets
Hush has had its cooldown reduced to promote its usage as an interrupt or combo piece (now matching Deathward Climax, for example).
Shoes
Battle Frenzy now lasts longer to increase the duration of CC immunities and total distance covered, promoting their usage against heavy-CC enemy comps.
Potions
Health Potions’ healing value has been reduced at all tiers, but more significantly at higher tiers. Their healing was too high due to the Base HP increase, Awakened Weapon defensive stats, higher maximum possible Item Powers, and the addition of the Smuggler Cape. With defensive builds all these factors would stack, resulting in too much value, so a slight reduction has been made. Healing Potions should remain strong, while fully-defensive solo builds will be slightly less durable.
Lifeward Potion has had its max range increased significantly, allowing it to be more effectively used by ranged supports in group PvP.
Mounts
Bighorn Ram’s passive spell has received an extra stack, so if you’re uninterrupted for 12 seconds, you’ll be zoomin’!
Direbears have traditionally been too expensive to ever be seriously considered. This change aims to improve the mount’s baseline functionality, making it worth considering despite its price.
