Pro Show Jumping · public · first seen
Hello Riders,
Today we’re releasing our final major update, almost three years after launch! Here’s what’s new:
Visuals & Animations
New horse visuals: Alongside updated textures, the shader now captures details such as hair direction, veins, and subtle surface variation to bring your favorite show jumpers to life.
Completely reworked animations based on high-quality footage: The canter is now fluid and bouncy, and the jump looks more natural and elastic. It may take a little time to adjust your eye for distances to the shorter take-off stride.
New detail animations: Jacket tails and reins now follow the horse’s movement.
More accurate horse morphology, especially around the chest, neck, and lower legs.
Horses’ manes can now be loose rather than always braided.
Show rugs are sometimes black; occasionally we run out of white ones!
Gameplay
New Puissance event: Nail your take-off distance and balance to clear the tallest walls your nerves can handle.
New Elite difficulty: For riders who find Professional too easy. In Elite, even a small mistake or a calculated risk can result in a fault, making every clear round more rewarding, and the Steam Leaderboards less saturated.
New Replay feature: Revisit your course, switch between cameras, find new angles with the free camera, and pause or play in slow motion. Screen-capture your favorite moments and share them online.
Added 37 new courses and 4 new championships. The new courses bring fresh challenges across all game modes, and more variety to Career Mode in particular.
Updated gameplay mechanics:
If your horse shakes its head while you’re asking for collection, you’re pulling too hard on the reins. It will collect more slowly, if at all, so ease off the stick a little. The higher the horse’s sensitivity, the sooner this effect kicks in. A highly sensitive horse will still collect more quickly than a less sensitive one, as long as the rider is sensitive enough to notice when the horse starts to resist.
Smaller horses, such as Comme Il Faudrait and Casalli, are now less penalized when jumping from an extended canter. This helps them cover long combination distances without sacrificing as much jump height.
Balance now matters slightly more, while a long canter stride reduces jump height slightly less. With good balance, you can jump on a relatively long stride without giving up too much height.
Before a close take-off, horses now automatically shorten their stride by a smaller amount, since the new jump animations already include a shorter take-off stride.
Horse rebalancing: Galoubet du Rouet and Uniting Touch are familiar sights on the leaderboards, but they aren’t necessarily the best choice for every course. Several other horses are now right up there with them, so give them all a try.
Slightly adjusted some combination distances to suit the new animations and mechanics. Check the course plan carefully, even on courses you know by heart.
Game Performance and Bug Correction
Added DLSS Frame Generation support for compatible NVIDIA GPUs. It offers another option alongside FSR Frame Generation, with improved image quality in our testing.
Made several optimizations to improve smoothness in the selection menus and during gameplay.
Fixed a bug that could cause a horse’s leg to get stuck on fences and Liverpool trays.
Fixed a bug that could cause the blue Turn Curvature HUD bar to display incorrectly on some frames.
