You can now play with a controller, change your keyboard bindings, and adjust the volume from the pause menu. This update also fixes a bug where you could keep playing after the expedition timer ran out.
Plug in a controller and play. The left stick moves. The right stick aims and turns.
When you fire with a controller, the shot leans toward a zombie close to where you are aiming. Melee does this too. Mouse aim is left alone.
The expedition setup screen, the survivor base, and the pause menu can be moved through with the sticks. The Menu button (Start) opens pause, or the system menu while you are in the base.
Touch the mouse or keyboard and the game switches back to mouse and keyboard.
The pause menu has a new Controls button. It lists the keyboard bindings. Select a row and press a new key to replace it.
Esc cancels that change. You can also reset everything to the defaults.
The pause screen now has sliders for master, music, effects, and interface volume. The labels follow the game's language.
Choosing Quit opens the choices beside that button: main menu, quit to desktop, or cancel.
If an extraction was interrupted when the expedition timer hit zero, you could still move and act, and the run would not end. Time running out now ends the run properly: stay inside the extraction zone and you stop to finish extracting, otherwise the run is over.
This is still Early Access. Feel and controls will keep changing from feedback.
