More enemies, more challenge, basically the entire 10 waves have been updated.
Updates:
New wave system?
Yes! So originally it was essentially spawn X to Y amount of this list of enemies. So that could mean essentially one playthrough has 20 of the 25 spawns being easy enemies and the next playthrough 20 of 25 enemies being harder enemies. This new system allows for each enemy to get its own randomized amount within ranges AND allows for a spawn at start amount. So think wave 5 can have 10 tier 2 zombies spawn at the start of the round, as just a random and totally not real example, but potentially still have a later count to spawn. This is going to make wave balancing much easier.
Networking updates?
Yep. Basically the amount of RPC calls are lower and lobby creation would spawn a ghost player. Both of these should make multiplayer more reliable and playable. However I'm sure more issues will be found this patch. It's a process.
Any news on what's next?
Next patch will be a return to networking. However not entirely just backend stuff but actual:
With back end stuff too. This may take more than one patch but the goal is to knock this out in one.
Anything for single player next patch?
Probably not. This patch was a very large single player patch with almost no multiplayer networking done outside of essentially hotfixes. More gameplay is coming soon which will be both single player and multiplayer. Stay tuned!
