Every place in 3D

Parkway Gardenz, downtown under the L, the studio, the tarmac and every city on the map are now real 3D voxel scenes, in the same chunky pixel style as the shoes.

• Wet streets at night that hold every lamp, neon sign and headlight in long reflections
• Sodium street lamps throwing cones of light into the rain, fog and snow
• Fire escapes, window units, a barber shop you can see into, a sneaker stall on the corner
• Shop windows downtown full of pairs on shelves
• A studio with the session up on the screen and a vocal booth in the back
• A jet at the end of a red carpet
• Rivers in New York, Paris and London that mirror the skyline

Look around

Press V on the street to drop the menus and look around: arrows or drag to turn, + and - to move, Enter to save a picture. Leave the street alone for a bit and the camera drifts through the city on its own. Every new morning opens on the block before the menus come in.

The holidays come to the block

Halloween runs October 24 to November 1. Pumpkins glow on every stoop, the moon goes orange, and everybody you deal with shows up in costume. Halloween night has one more thing waiting in the sky. Christmas strings lights across the towers, New Year counts down with fireworks, and Valentine's, St. Patrick's and the 4th of July each get their own intro and greeting. You can switch it off in Settings under SEASONAL.

Cleaner screens

A full pass on clarity: nothing overlaps, highlights no longer cover the words under them, the settings are easier to read, and the wall in the book now has pages.

Settings

PLACES switches between 3D high, 3D low for older machines, and flat for the original look.
