On SteamNotes only · this build shipped before we watched the app

An updated Windows and macOS build is now available for the VOICES LIE demo. This update focuses on matchmaking recovery, multiplayer synchronization, and fixes to chat, audio and the interface.

Quick Match and Rooms

  • Fixed an issue where some players kept searching after nobody confirmed a Quick Match.
  • Fixed Quick Match getting stuck during preparation after a loading failure, and improved failure feedback.
  • Improved LAN room discovery, joining and recovery, including room-source labels and host controls.

Gameplay and Communication

  • Reduced processing overhead when synchronizing votes in twelve-player matches.
  • Fixed inconsistencies between the current-speaker indicator and voice and text speaking permissions.
  • Improved recovery when rejoining Night private chat, keeping messages and state from previous sessions out of the new session.
  • Improved host controls when timers are disabled, so absent players cannot stall speech turns, the Hunter's Final Retaliation or Chair Token handling.

Interface and Audio

  • Improved button layouts for long translations while preserving readable labels and full click areas.
  • Fixed private sound cues persisting into a new Night or after the viewed player changes.
  • Adjusted Room sound timing and volume to reduce unnecessary interruptions.
