MALMIJAL - Modeling · public · first seen
This update includes new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes to enhance the stability and signal processing performance of MALMIJAL-M.
1. [Top Menu]
- Added Quick Controls (F1)
Descriptions of the Key Features of Graph Properties, Graph Moving, Graph Scaling and Zoom, Graph Annotation, Graph Handling, Analysis & Edit in D&D Mode, Basic Statistics in Modeling Mode, and Recording in D&D Mode.
2. [DATA]
- Added a Constant type to the Signal Generator.
Added support for processing .tdms files in both D&D and Modeling modes (see Samples/sample.tdms).
3. [Preprocess Panel]
- Arithmetic Operation: Added Pow10 (10m) to calculate 10 raised to the power of m.
Used to convert decibel (dB) values into physical quantities.
Amplitude-Based Quantities:
LdB = 20 log10(x / xref), x = xref × 10LdB / 20
For example, when xref = 1, select Power10 and set Scaling to 1/20 = 0.05.
The resulting operation is Power10(Signal1/20).
Power-Based Quantities:
LdB = 10log10(P / Pref), P = Pref × 10LdB / 10
- Data Extraction:
Since the extracted data starts at 0, it is displayed from 0 to 0.3 seconds.
4. [Spectra Panel]
- Short-Time FT:
Overall: Overall dB(A) graphs for each frequency band over time.
Colormaps: Viridis (default), Turbo, Jet, Inferno, Magma, Plasma, and Grayscale.
Added a Color Interpolation option.
Added a Time Slice Spectrum menu to the Spectrogram.
When Overall is checked, a graph displaying the Overall dB(A) levels for each frequency band over time is generated.
Clicking Time Slice Spectrum in the Spectrogram displays a graph of Level (dB) versus frequency at the selected time. The time can be adjusted by moving the Time Track Bar.
Spectrogram without Color Interpolation applied.
Spectrogram with Color Interpolation applied.
Spectrogram with Jet Colormap and Color Interpolation applied.
Double-click the label in the Spectrogram to adjust the Colorbar Label and the number of Colorbar Ticks.
- Octave Band Analysis:
When Overall or MA is checked, the default value of # of Filtering Samples is set to the sampling rate (Fs). To properly display Overall values over time, # of Segments must be greater than 1 (see octave overall.mmj).
Overall: Graph displaying Overall dB levels for each Octave Band over time.
MA (Moving Average): Displays a moving average graph of the Overall values, automatically indicating the maximum value and its location.
Added the ability to switch between Bar Graph, Scatter Plot, and Transparent Bar Plot during Octave Band analysis. Also added a menu option to switch from Scatter Plot to Bar Graph.
- Narrow to Octave:
Convert a narrowband spectrum into 1-octave or 1/3-octave bands.
5. [Graph Properties]
Harmonic Cursor: Identify periodic patterns in the time, frequency, or order domain (see periodic peaks.mmj).
Adjust the periodic interval by moving the pink vertical line.
Adjust the initial position by moving the brown vertical line.
Displays the fundamental period value in the bottom-right corner.
- Multiple Data Cursor Feature (Ctrl + Data Cursor Menu)
To create multiple Data Cursors, hold down the Ctrl key, right-click on the graph, and select Data Cursor from the context menu.
