Warriors Level Three Times Faster, and Eight New Keys for Your Spells

On Steam

Update 1.52.0

Swinging steel is honest work, and from today it pays like it: warriors earn triple experience from monsters. Every character also finds two free talent resets waiting in the warehouse, and eight more keys to hang a spell or an item on.

You must update your client to log in. Close the game and the launcher, then reopen the launcher and press PLAY. On Steam the update is automatic.

New

  • Warrior's Tenacity. A character with at least one warrior talent (Short Sword, Long Sword, Fencing, Axe, Hammer, Archery, Poison or Tank) and no mage talent (Earth, Lightning, Fire, Ice or Holy) earns triple experience from hitting and killing monsters. Xelima, Merien, Blood and Kloness talents do not count either way. It stacks with experience potions and slates and has its own icon on the buff bar. It pauses when a mage shares that experience with you, in a party or in the Global Party, and on any monster that took more than 20% of its health from magic or from a character with a mage talent. Quests, fishing, farming and crafting are unchanged.
  • Two free Unlearn Talent Tickets. Every character, existing or new, receives them in their warehouse the next time they log in. They are bound: only that character can use them, and they cannot be dropped, traded, sold, auctioned, mailed or moved to the Shared Bank or the Guild Warehouse. If your warehouse is full, they arrive on a later login.
  • Q, E, R, T, F, Z, X and C can now hold a spell or an item, just like F2 and F3: hold Shift and press the key to save the last one you used, then press the key alone to cast or equip it.
  • Guildmasters can now expel members from the guild, and Captains can expel the members who rank below them, online or not.
  • Escape now closes the topmost window. If that window is an invitation, Escape declines it.
  • The wiki has a search: press Ctrl+K on any wiki page to find monsters, items, maps and spells. It also explains what every item property does.

Improved

  • The talent list is grouped into Warriors, Mages and Advanced, and hovering a talent shows a short plain-language summary of what it does.
  • Automatic dash now dash-attacks on a plain click, without holding Ctrl.
  • With the chat box open, the mouse wheel cycles who you are talking to: Party, Guild, Nation, Global and Trade. Trade chat is now light blue.
  • Translated chat shows up translated on screen and over the speaker's head, and messages that link an item can be translated too.
  • Hovering Vit or Mag on the character sheet shows your gear's HP, MP and SP recovery bonus in green, with the resulting regen range.
  • Unlearn Spell in the Coin Shop is a single entry with a spell picker; spells you have not learned are greyed out.
  • Players who told us it is their first time in Helbreath get a warning when they step into Middleland or Promiseland, with a "do not show again" box.

Changed

  • Within each monster's loot, the stronger item of a family is no longer more common than the weaker one. The Ring of the Xelima and the Necklace of Xelima leave the Goblin Warlock's common loot and remain among its rare drops.
  • Gold in the Coin Shop costs twice as many EVO Coins: 500,000 Gold goes from 1 to 2 coins, and 5,000,000 Gold from 9 to 18.
  • At level 140 in Rebirth Mode, the experience you keep earning is now reduced by your rebirth penalty: 6% per rebirth, compounding, capped at the third rebirth (about 17% less). Levels 1 to 139 and Normal Mode are unchanged.
  • Crush Damage on a wand now also makes your spell Crushes hit harder, by the same percentage.
  • Cyclops move 30% faster, both wandering and chasing. Their attack rate is unchanged.

Fixed

  • Monsters no longer blink forward and back for an instant when they spot you and start chasing.
  • The event panel no longer says "No event in progress" while an event that started the previous day is still running.
  • The City Hall Officer's menu no longer peeks out from behind the shop and Rebirths windows.
